It's impossible to hit dh with 0.5 second
Please buff to 1 sec,you Devs just killing those perks with this changes

I went for the swing and a survivor dead harded at the same time. The swing managed to hit them as soon as the 0.5 seconds were up. Awesome perk.

Had something happen of a similar thing happen but I was on the receiving end. I dead harded and as soon as I did, MYERS ######### 360 SWUNG WITH HIS OMEGA LUNGE AND HIT ME AT THE END OF HIS SWING WHEN MY ENDURANCE WAS GONE. Like, I'm really impressed but man, that is such a stupid play.

bro from summer 2022 to march 2023 i was running with dh when playing survivor i more than know what i'm talking about, in for honor at high levels people often don't use light attack (it lasts from 300 to 400 ms + you need to hit 100-200 timer to parry) because it can't be cancel and gets parried
if you lack 2 times more time, then the problem is clearly in the skills

Dh is absolutely free on many killer powers, and any lunge attack.
Noone respects it first time unless you make it really obvious...
If you can't get that in 0,5sec window, then something is wrong with your reaction speed...

If they only take away that stupid useless animation. It’s already 0,5 sec, that animation was the old DH. Now it just gives away the use.

Wrong. Average human reaction time is 0.2s, killer lunge takes 0.8s. and since dh lasts 0.5s, they need to walk up to you just to not get dhed.

We don't need another reason for killers to complain they were outplayed, I like DH flying under the radar right now, I can finally use my favorite perk without every killer forcing a dance-off or staring contest.

I guess they could increase the invulnerability frames on it to make it more consistent without it becoming popular again. Seeing as ping varies alot it wouldn't be a bad change.

I'd much prefer DH be reworked to only provide endurance against special attacks (reverting the limitations other than exhaustion on it), but allow for this 1s window. This way it doesn't hurt M1 Killers at all, and only impacts Blight/Nurse/Wesker and other powerful Killers.
To be fair latency and 'exhausted on the ground' is horrendous with this game. (To be fair they don't show the exhaustion status effect anymore, but if the Survivor goes down without an animation, they got bugged/denied their DH.) Plus the vast majority of circumstances the Killer can just walk up or bait it out early. It was hilarious when I saw a Killer streamer have a Survivor on edge map of Ormond, knew they had DH (from previously in the match), and waited 5-10 seconds sniffing their hair before swinging into DH. The streamer complained "uncounterable", even though the Survivor actually started the DH before the Killer even started the swing. If the Killer waited half a second longer or swung any time earlier, they would have been fine.

It's not the timing that's the problem, it's accounting for the ping you encounter match to match. Increasing the window slightly would just help account for killers who have higher ping.

1 second of full immunity is a lot higher than you think, 0.5 is fine, it doesn’t need to be changed

I think it's fine too. I just wouldn't be opposed to them building perks to account for realistic playing conditions.

First of all, it's not even close to impossible, it just takes actual skill now. Dead Hard is balanced as it is, and a person who is good with it is a menace.

Tbh I don't see the point? Extending the duration doesn't do anything besides giving an extra window of distance. If a killer sees you dh and knows that it lasts 1 second, there's no reason they'd hit you at a point that 0.5s dh wouldn't be active but 1s would be. If it was like 0.1 second long I would understand since you couldn't dh in advance like at all but 0.5 is definitely enough. The only real reason I would see to change it to 1 second is because the number 0.5 is ugly which I completely agree with

I mean, after .5 seconds the killer would have to be completely not paying attention to get hit with it. Your change would accomplish nothing.
