ANother perk change, another busted combination

Smash Hit Just Became An S-TIER Perk! - YouTube

It is time you learn about the mistakes you do... MFT + Resilience + Hope is busted, it was a mistake to release MFT and now you have changed Smash Hit and allowed it to be in another toxic combo...

Do not expect killers to continue to play this game with all the mistakes you are doing regarding balancing.

The game is already unbalanced at its core and you keep releasing busted perks/changes for the survivors...

Honestly, i do not want to play killer anymore knowing i will have to try hard the hell out of me to get a win at my MMR.

My friends play DbD less and less and we are all burned out with the direction the game is taking.

When will you care about the community actually ? By community i mean the whole community, killers and survivors.

Try the combo for 10 games and then tell me it is not busted :)

Did you try to play MFT/Resilience/Hope ? This one is completely OP and break the game.

Do you even know how to play ? Anotehr surv main... you will soon tell me that MFT is a bad perk 😂

Edit : mate i have found your account on steam, you have never been Iridiscent 1 as a survivor or as a killer in 1500h... well i'm off this forum, most ppl reacting do not even know how to play the game properly, it is tiring.

The Smash Hit buff is great and fine. I think there's a clear reason why every "problematic combo" tends to have MFT as the common denominator, though. That perk is already extremely good on its own, and the fact it synergizes with so many other perks (mainly Hope) is pretty crazy

Ok, I'm back from my 12 games as Surv (not actually), and I got Blight, Huntress, Deathslinger, Nurse, Nemesis, Doctor, Hag, Pyramid Head, Trickster, Artist, Knight, and Singularity. I couldn't get a stun against about a third of the cast because basically only new players to those Killers are the ones to get stunned frequently enough for perk value. You could make an argument for a couple more Killers, but I think I made my point.

As a Ghosty main MfT is a joke. They either don't notice me, and I down them because they greedily stayed injured. Alternatively I stalk them and bypass MfT. Sprint Burst helps them in both cases (healthy/injured), so someone bringing MfT is helping me, because they can't bring Sprint Burst with it. Even then, for the most part it is kinda like a 'you must be this tall to ride this ride' at theme parks. If you have enough skill, MfT means nothing, as you are getting downs by other means than a hold-w chase. If you don't have enough skill, you weren't getting downs anyways. MfT is inferior to Sprint Burst, even on Killers that don't have stealth/instadowns. Every MfT to me, is a favor they didn't bring SB. Again my Ghostface usage may disproportionately value SB to be fair.

(Edits in parenthesis here) (With the) Hope (perk) you just have to win (as Killer) and it never comes into play. Easy enough. They even put themselves down a perk to help stack the odds in your favor.

Resilience is no different than it has been, but if you were to show me a breakeven where a Survivor gets a Resil+MfT loop but not a perkless loop, I'll accept your premise Resil+MfT is busted until I can break it down for improvements (such as no mindgames). All you gotta do is show 2 vids side by side, Resil+MfT and perkless running from the same points where the combo gets say 3 window vaults instead of 2. It doesn't have to be that, I just would like to know what specifically made the combo make the Survivor un-killable, as I'm not having problems outside of Shack is made easier for Survs, but still counterable. Arguably your best bet here is the simple LT. Most normal loops rely on the pallet, so once you get someone to burn it, the loop loses most of its value.

Edit: Hope perk section clarified from poorer phrasing

    It's a placebo effect.

When playing killer, I have most of the time problem even figuring out who plays MfT. When playing survivor I just dropped it altogether after a few days, because balanced, dramaturgy (for items) and bg player are just better for me by huge margin.

It's just a new scapegoat some killer can just blame instead of looking at their mistakes. It would have been "bad maps" if there was not this perk. Or something else if all maps got suddenly Midwitch-level.

If you play both sides equally and have not the time to play much or play daily, then you won't hit Iri1.

Stop telling people they can't have an opinion because they don't meet your ridiculous standards.

Changing the 1 variable the WHOLE game is built around is THE mistake. There should be no perks, items, addons, that change the base speed for a survivor for an indefinite amount of time.

It is similar to the Bucke up video from Otz. Good luck getting that much value without a 4man swf.

Y'all need to stop give streamers so munch powers.

It's part of the problem in DbD, dont listen to them, they bring nothing but toxicity.

lol if you think iri 1 is anything more than an indication of how much one plays in a month I'm afraid I'm not the one who doesn't know how the game works. But if you must know I just don't play much because killer is so easy i get bored after 3 games and solo q is frustrating enough I haven't played survivor in weeks, and I simply do not care enough about a random fictional game achievement to take this game seriously.

Anyways this "busted combination" is nothing more than a cute build for a perk showcase video. Fixated doesn't bring anything more than it does to other exhaustion perks, meaning barely anything. Same thing for Vigil, it's always been a pretty nice perk but it's not worth wasting a perk slot on it if you're in solo queue, and it actually saves less time with Smash Hit than it does with any other exhaustion perk. Btw Aryun is wrong Smash Hit + Vigil isn't 14s it's about 15.5s, so you're literally wasting a perk slot for less than 5 seconds you don't even need to save. People rarely use Vigil for 40s of exhaustion to begin with, so using it for 20s is plain silly.

Ayrun would literally have gotten the same results using Smash Hit only, so if you're going to complain just say the buff was too strong because you get stunned every 20 seconds instead of making up a "toxic combo" (because of course everything that's somewhat good is toxic, as we have come to learn on this forum)

And no, I don't think Made for this is a bad perk.

(Also, don't believe everything you read on the internet, a clickbait title isn't factual and neither is a steam account I haven't used for DBD in months)

    Edit: Typo

I agree with your post. vigil should be something like 50%. I don't think i have ever seen anyone recover their exhaustion perk when I play killer. 40/1.5 would be 26 seconds and smash hit would be 20/1.5 =13.33. maybe then this build would make sense.

Everything seems good when Ayrun use it...

Smash Hit is fine. Some Youtuber making a video bullying baby killers with it doesn't make it OP.
