FTP + Buckle Up intended?
This is a really dumb combo with literally 0 counters for the killer aside from hoping the survivor is console.

Why would console matter here?

Most console players don't rebind their heal button so healing under pallet is rough + overall slower fluidity.
Waiting for someone to go down then popping the combo during sword wipe animation is really goofy. I'd like to see it nerfed similarly to MFT + FTP.

I believe most do once they realise they can.

Well then I rescind my earlier statement, still though, I'm not sure what the killer is supposed to do about it when executed well. It feels like a lose-lose.

It definitely needs to be removed. Its basically useless to below average in usefullness in solo queue. But as always SWF can abuse this to make the match completely miserable for the killer. And yet again, its yet another combo that a nurse blight or spirit won't care about because they'll just down you 5 seconds later anyway, whereas a trapper is going to be extra sad when it happens.

I’ve played 3 swf teams tonight where all 4 of them were running this combo and you just can’t hook them ever. It’s not gonna stay.

I'm going to take a wild guess and say that it isn't intended. Seems pretty damn busted..tbh..xD

There’s nothing about it that would suggest it isn’t intended. That said, it’s overpowered and should be removed.

MFT + FTP got changed awhile back but this is that but better.

Maybe Broken status negating Endurance soon? You can either be Broken to instantly heal a downed survivor which is risky or gain the Endurance if you heal them normally to be safe, it shouldn't be both. The downed survivor is at the mercy of their team and the killer so they shouldn't be punished here.
Edit: After typing this I realized what it means for certain killers and perks so maybe just leave it as a note in the perk, like DS or OTR disabling at end game.

That only got changed because you were doing the heal while healthy which meant MFT wasn’t supposed to work with it. It wasn’t because of a balance issue they changed it, they changed it because they called it a bug. Buckle Up doesn’t have that requirement.

FTP works with We're Gonna Live Forever so I don't know why it wouldn't work with Buckle Up.

The issue is buckle up protects BOTH survivors. There's not exactly much counterplay to that. Kinda brings back the feeling of survivors popping the OG syringe anytime you get a down.

what about a killer that hard camp's slugs when a survivor has low bleed out timer? survivor's need to recover to 95% hp to pick them up. FTP allows you to heal them immediately but survivor do not want to go down for other teammates so buckle up solves that issue. it seems to be working as intended. Just another case of health-state body-blocking being too effective vs weaker killers.

Yeah, outside of playing Legion and keeping everyone injured not much you can do.
Easy fix though. Let FtP apply deep wounds to the user.
They put this safety switch for preventing endurance abuse in so might as well use it

FTP shouldn't work with Buckle Up because there just isn't a consistent good option for the killer when it's done during the attack cooldown. Waiting 10 seconds before you can swing at either survivor is too much considering this wasn't an unhook situation. Buckle Up would be a good perk even without the interaction, it'd just be relegated to only being usable when leaving survivors slugged.

I agree completely. It doesn't even exhaust you which means you can even get MFT value while broken lol.

Ah yes. a whataboutism.
What is this thread about again? Pretty sure it was about FTP + Buckleup. If you want to talk about other things, probably go to a different thread.

This combo needs a fat nerf. I hate that it makes soul guard pointless

For me it was trying to break Pinhead chains while also pulling down a pallet that encouraged me to actually look at rebinding my controls... I was quite mad xD
In any case, this combo is pretty gnarly.... I remember seeing Buckle Up getting the endurance affect for both players, and that seemed a little too strong on its own...
Just making it the picked up survivor would be more than enough to make it good imo... the fact the Killer can't come over and instant down them again is already value...

yeah just make buckle up only work for the pick up survivor so if u for the people the killer can still down someone. It would still be a extremely great tool for helping a tunnel or slug survivor. If people want double endurance than they will have to work for it using we go live forever and MFT in combination

Well, WGLF already does that.
Its current iteration is fine, it just needs to not work with FTP and it will be perfectly balanced.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that change. Cheers for keeping me honest 🤘
Making it so Buckle Up doesn't work with FTP in its current form though is hard to achieve... you don't really want to be introducing exceptions and branches in mechanics if you can avoid it, especially when both perks are working as intended.
The issue is individually they may be fine, but combined they are problematic due to the power of endurance... I did roll with this change because I forgot about WGLF... but now I'm thinking BU is stepping on it and Soul guards toes.
Tbh, I'm not sure why they didn't just make Buckle Up give an even bigger speed boost (say ~20%-25%) to one or both players that actually genuinely helps the downed survivor get away. 10% was still slower than the killer, so didn't do crap...
Making it a potential speed boost does take it back to being niche, but it fits the perk and a none exhaust haste which can outrun the killer for a time could be pretty clutch, while also allowing a Killer to react and catch 1 of you if you try to do the FTP combo in their face.

They could just make FTP not work with any healing perks so its uniform. The reasoning could be that FTP is a "health-state swap" rather than a genuine heal.
It would be a nerf to WGLF but I mean the perk wouldn't really change much in strength and has other issues. Could buff it to not have any conditions to unlocking it and/or give it haste too.
