Will the new Ikumi Nakamura designed skins be available for iri shards?
Was just wondering if the new skins added to the game for Oni, Julie and Yui designed by Ikumi Nakamura would be available for iri shards eventually?

Can confirm here that this collection will not be made available for Iri Shards, they will remain available for Auric Cells.

I'm going to assume not, as they're technically licensed, but the Crypt TV skins were but they with Shards. Guess we have to wait 4 weeks to find out. was it 4 weeks?

I doubt it since they are licensed

Since they're technically licensed (Plus being all sets), I highly doubt it. But the Crypt TV skins are available for shards so we'll just have to wait and see.

Not just the ones that Nakamura designed? Also the other four outfits?

Shouldn't all cosmetics be purchaseabe with shards after a while? Didn't you guys say that while ago?

Only non-licensed ones get shard prices; they've been pretty clear about that.
DBD cosmetic prices are stupid and I almost never pay actual money for them, but I had to get the Yui and the Legion. If I played Oni I'd get his as well, they are just too good.

They said that licensed skins will remain an exception So, it seems these are considered licensed. Those that eventually become available for Iridescent Shards are made entirely by BHVR, so all the money goes to them. However, licensed skins I imagine a portion of the cost goes to the creators that are not BHVR employees, which is why they are Auric Cells only.
This is also why if you note that "Community Contest" rewards are 1. Always in the FREE section of the Rifts and 2. Always available for Iridescent Shards ONLY once they become available in the store. As they do not pay the community artists, BHVR can't charge for them (well they possibly could, but they do not.)

BHVR changes what they said 'a while' ago all the time. The only consistent thing is that what they say is temporary. Maybe in a couple of months or years, they're going to say something else again.

BHVR does waffle on a lot of things, but they haven't on this (the previous post explains why). If the content is licensed, the license holder (or outside artist) is gonna want actual money for each unit sold. Thus, they can't be free unless BHVR wants to foot that bill.
