Devs, are you ever going to do anything about Dredge's nightfall or boon auras?
Both of these things are VERY uncomfortable. I don't understand why the second somebody frames something as an accessibility issue you guys spring into action and make changes ASAP but Dredge and boons have been making people uncomfortable for, what, years? And you've done nothing.
It's a very fortunate thing that Dredge is not popular and boons I can often avoid entirely, but when I have to deal with these things it makes playing this game physically unpleasant which should NEVER be a thing.

the dredges power is literally to obstruct vision lol you want the devs to just add an option in the settings so you can see through it?

They haven't touched dredge because weakening his nightfall/making it "pleasant" to be in would defeat the purpose of it entirely. It was weaker in the PTB and considered a joke.
Also when has Bhvr ever "sprung into action" around accessibility? It took them years of requests to add color blind options, years of requests/a mobile feature being made to add visual TR, and years of complaints to do anything about flashlight clicking

There's middle ground between nightfall being a joke and being painful.
Okay the second something gets media attention or starts trending on social media they spring into action. And just last patch the motion sickness claims caused Bhvr to immediately revert a bug fix
Yeah if it's physically painful it should be adjusted. Not sure why this is controversial. They can buff Dredge in other ways that don't literally give you a headache.

so you literally just want to see through a killer's main power simply because its "painful"

If you made dredges nightfall more visible you might as well have ptbs nightfall which was useless

I main Dredge. What change do you suggest?

I don't know. I don't know why nightfall or boon auras hurt my eyes. It's not something I've experienced before in DBD or any other video game. I play plenty of horror games and stealth games that are near pitch black that do not hurt to play. I'm not a dev or an eye doctor.

Edit: never mind

Maybe it’s the contrast of the survivors’ aura? Your eyes are trying to focus on something and that’s kind of stark. Could create strain.

That's possible. I'll have to pay attention next time I go against him to see if it gets worse with other survivors around.

Nightfall is horrible only on my PlayStation in combination with an OLED TV. I literally don’t see anything. When I‘m playing on an LCD monitor, the difference is massive. When I set the monitor mode to brighten darker areas (I guess PC players can do this easily with filters), it’s even more ridiculous. I wish the devs would at least do something to make the visibility comparable across different setups.
(It takes some effort and moving stuff to connect the monitor so I don’t usually do it because I rarely run into a Dredge)

No. They shouldn't make Dredge's power worse. The PTB version of the power was useless. It should stay exactly the way it is.

Is the setting to brighten darker areas called "black detail?" I see that on my TV I think I'm gonna experiment with it

How about 1 (or 2, or whatever is more balanced and doesn't change the kill rate) radius complete visibility and everything else completely black? That way there is the added benefit of having less inconsistency between monitors (/pc) and televisions (/consoles) also.
edit: I think part of the problem is that players end up straining their eyes because of the different levels of gray/darkness that Dredge creates - if it's totally black, it would address that problem.

I do wish nightfall had better visuals and audio because it’s genuinely impossible for me to play against dredge I have to endure and take my headphones off or I just immediately off myself on hook
