Hook Scream and Animation are off
Past few games since update on PC, any time any survivor is hooked by any killer on any map the survivor scream comes in about a second or two before they are actually hooked.
unsure if it’s just a visual/audio bug but a couple times Pain Resonance went off before animation of survivor being hooked started making me think maybe the animation is the one that’s delayed

The screams start early and cut off too abruptly. It doesn't match the animation and sounds unnatural.

Also because of this change it makes hook-related perks trigger in a very awkward time making it impossible to counterplay or predict.

Can confirm. It also makes Pain Res proc early, and with this it also works with Deadlock where Deadlock will proc on the generator that was affected by Pain Res when the survivor gets on hook.

So ughhhh... Apparently this broken mess is intentional?
We changed the timing to align better with the animation but now we need to change the animation to align to the broken timing.

Yes and i figured it out but its very annoying and it seems like when a survivor scream, they scream as if they are afraid from being hooked, but after the hooking animation, they become silent, so the fact of this feature explain that they are scared from being hooked, not to feel the hook pain as it use to be, that's why they become silent while the survivor hook screaming animation is already ongoing xD.

Yes, I can confirm this bug, the survivor scream comes ~1 second before the hooking.

we'll get used to it additionally if you look at the animation closely survivors open their mouth the moment they touch the hook so it makes sense for them to start screamin as soon as their bodies get pierced by the hook

i dont think so, and if you ask me i would prefer the old version but screaming animation being longer so they wont cut off artifically in the middle of screaming
