Just seen the weirdest thing yet
A plague who slugged me to find a bot and then the bot healed me and then slugged the bot to find me.
Is this the level of desperation we're at now?

Well I had a Legion who downed bot at the other side of the map, the he tried to follow that bot to crawl to me. Well that didn't happen so he then let the bot to wiggle off and used power to find me with killer instinct. Took him four tries to find me (I was repairing gen at the other side of the map).
Only thing I could do was to laugh how serious some people take this game.

There is a tome challenge to down 8 people.

Someone playing the game normally
"Is this desperation?"
Why is it a big deal that the killer wants a 4k?
12 -
They are wasting the time of a real life human in order to kill an AI. That is weird
6 -
why hatch exist if slugging for 4k is "playing normally" ? it's not a big deal just cringe/obnoxious, you can hook 3rd one you're not going to die if someone get hatch
4 -
If the player feels like their time is being wasted they can just give up and go next.
All the killer is doing is playing the game. But people put arbitrary lines in the sand where you are only allowed to wanna win "this much" "more than that and you are weird", just let people have their fun...
To avoid a single survivor hiding in the corners for 20 minutes.
Also why egc exists.
So playing the game normally is obnoxious to you?
You are also not gonna die if you just let the killer get you... but you want the escape. The killer wants the kill. Same thing.
It's on everyone involved in the game if you think that's cringe, not just the killer.

Yes they can do it, yes it's at their will and not against the rules. but you think that's the topic here?

Honestly, lately it feels like a lot of killers are playing like they will die if they fail. Every match I've been in lately (no exceptions) has ended one of two ways. Multiple people out or killer leaves one person down and slugged to hunt for the 4th. Watched a Pyramid Head spend the entire 4 minutes looking while the last person just kept moving from hiding spot to hiding spot. Meanwhile... I crawled off and waited to die.
Super exciting....

It literally is
"Is this the level of desperation we're at now?"
They are calling what the killer did desperation. Because the killers aren't allowed to want a 4k apparently.
There is nothing else to this post. It's pointing at someone and going "Look at that tryhard trying to get a 4k. Gonna call them desperate for wanting it and hope for an echo chamber of people agreeing with me"

A Killer tried to win, unbohlievable!

I'm happy if I get 3k it's a win, unless last one is in front of me when I down 3rd why would I care ? you're playing a video game it's not that serious especially dbd, if you're ready to slug and waste 5min+ to find last one you're just obnoxious yeah
if someone do it I just assume they got rekt hard previous game, desperation is a good word

i'd like to understand the mentality of someone that cares about a bot getting hatch or not im not gonna lie, and wasting a real human's time for it. i get sometimes killer games are tough and all the bming get through people's skin, but it's a bot it won't t-bag at the top of the hatch.

is it suddenly wrong if someone does care? why?
they didn't waste the time of someone else. the bot was down at some point. the survivor did not give up.
they are both trying to win, but only the killer is being called desperate?
imagine someone trying to win getting under your skin... damn...
also... people have in fact reported bots t-bagging

Because people aren't interested in hearing the other sides experience. They are too busy defending their own. That's the issue on both sides most of the time on the forum.

A plague who slugged me to find a bot
i mostly meant this. she might have not wanted to drag the match any more with the bot rescuing but then she could just camp the hook and end the game. but tbf i too would just give her her precious 4k in that scenario after she decides to slug me and a damn bot.
and no, maybe the bming survivors from previous matches got to the plague's skin was what i meant, but slugging to secure the 4th bot kill is something else.
you do you at the end of the day everyone plays how they want, but the point of the post obviously wasn't like she cannot do that or whatever, it's just such an unnecessary and weird behavior. i just hope she actually was doing a challenge or adept.

She didn’t slug because of some previous ultra seal team 6 teabagging survivors. She just wanted a 4K. Lol

The killer tried to win?! Report them. A killer player should always play by the survivor rule book!
Seriously, I get it being slugged isn't nice but it's not the killer's fault the hatch exists. If hatch wasn't a thing, then this wouldn't happen either. But of course we can't remove hatch. After all, how is the last remaining survivor supposed to escape (win) then? And there must be a way to get the best possible result in any given situation. Almost as if this was exactly the same as what is frowned upon when a killer does it.
They could take their 3k and be done with it. But when you win you always try to go for the best results. Survivors try to go for saves in end game when they could simply leave too and nobody blames them. Also, the Devout Category won't fill up to the max, if the killer doesn't get the 4k. This means they will have a harder time reaching Iri 1 grade and earning their 1 million BP. This makes a big difference when playing a killer that doesn't grade up all that good anyway.
There are multiple things that incentivise the killer to slug for the 4k but somehow we still pretend like we don't understand why anyone would do that.

The distinction is that a halfway decent player usually doesn't have to drag the game out for an extra 5 to 10 minutes to get their one 4k for the week. A 4k isn't this rare commodity. The game counts a 3k as a win for the killer. It's just basic sportsmanship at a certain point. Take the win gracefully but don't expect the other side to just lay down. I feel like so many DbD players never played a sport in their life.

I had a killer that was downing the bot over and over because they couldn’t find me. I 99d one gen, then completed one, which left one gen left. Killer made the mistake of not downing the bot and came directly to me as I popped the gen I ran the killer across from the 99d gen, bot did the gen and escaped. Glad a bot was able to humble a slug for the 4k killer

A 3k is already a win though. You've killed 75% of survivors and, presumably, hooked the one who got out at least once.
This is coming from someone who plays killer and survivor about equally. The notion that a kill can only win with all 4 kills is goofy.

There was a doctor that needed 4k for his adept today. He let bleed me out and can now play another game to get his adept.

We all know that this Plague did not have a challenge, but is one of those "If I dont 4K I did not win"-weirdos.
Probably even at 2 or more Gens left where it is very clear that they won. But need to assert this dominance.

Only a small amount of people do it actually because they have a challenge. I play this game for several years, I know my sweaty DBD-players.

The Killer tried to achieve the best possible result, heaven forfend. That's not weird or in any way abnormal. Know what is? Suggesting strangers are weird or abnormal for playing a game within its rules. Hilariously, this is always done by those that accuse others of taking the game too seriously. Taking the game too seriously is trying to armchair psychoanalyse strangers, not playing for a 4K.

it's funny because you literally do what you accuse the other side of
the killer makes a slug and looks for the last survivor dragging out the game, well, nothing prevents the last survivor from making noise and dying, but no, he is hiding to win
so why are you accusing the killer of wanting to win by dragging out the game while you are hiding by dragging out the game to win
