cheat bots
What can be done about the cheat bots? Killer bot which teleports around and instantly kills everyone? Does providing the link they give in the after game chat help at all?

- File an in-game report by selecting the "thumb up and thumb down" icon next to the player's name in the post-game tally. Select the appropriate category and write a brief description of what happened. E.g. "The killer was teleporting."
- Open a ticket at support.deadbydaylight.com to provide video evidence of the cheating.
- If your report leads to action being taken, you'll be notified when loading up the game after said action is taken.
You can read more about the process here and here.
Reporting in Dead by Daylight is, unfortunately, a slow process and a lot of people decide it isn't worth the hassle. Personally, I only report things like serious harassment or death threats. Hacking is definitely annoying but I stopped recording my matches a while ago because it was tanking my performance and taking up storage.

Done that and got the same cheatbot a week later. So what can be done?

Reports can take some time to process. They might've just not got around to it yet. In the mean time, there's nothing else you can do. If you've issued an in-game report and provided evidence of the offence then the rest is up to BHVR.
I should say that I personally am not very fond of DbD's reporting system. Most players are not going to record all of their matches on the off chance of encountering a cheater. And the need for video evidence alienates platforms where recording is not easy to do. Ideally, DbD would have some sort of capture system or logs of the match built-in.
I also think that the reporting process is needlessly convoluted and confusing. Why do giving Props and issuing a report use the same button? Why are the in-game descriptions of the offence categories so misleading? Why is there no button to copy your DbD Cloud ID? Why do I have to upload the video evidence to external file sharing sites? The whole thing feels long winded and outdated. The recently-added report feedback is nice, but doesn't solve the core issues with the system.

The reporting system is ridiculous, it is a lot of work and we never see results. I think most players have stopped putting in the effort. There should be an automated in game button to hit which would automatically capture and notify. Or simply have a button which immidiately notifies Behaviour this game has cheating going on so they can watch in real time; folks abusing the button would get banned like a dc penalty. It just seems the cheaters are smarter than the developers at this point.

This would be the ideal scenario.
Although apparently it's not possible due to how the game was originally coded. I can't remember where it was mentioned, but someone (who I think was on the team) has previously commented that a built-in replay system would be impossible to implement without remaking the game from the ground up.
The current system isn't really good enough IMO, but I guess it's what we're stuck with 🤷♂️

OR maybe reward Auric cells for folks who successfully help in catching cheaters?

They have had the time, they got the money and manpower, why don't they make a new game from the ground up. It would not seem it is as difficult as trying to keep using the spaghetti code they got now. Or make DBD 2.

Does anyone know if the cheat bots can grab you out of a locker?
