Why do I die 9/10 times and still go up against really good killers?
I really think you need a different ranking/MMR system for solo Q survivors, most times the game is virtually unwinnable for players like myself. Maybe a competitive mode for swf and casual mode for solo players. Just a thought. For example, I've just now played around ten games in a row got about 3 gens completed before we all got hooked. The one match I survived in the killer was afk. This seems to be the norm these days. It's exactly like the days of the old rank reset where we all went to rank 20 and the game was unplayable for people like myself. Been here since you guys released the game, it's been a lot of fun but not anymore, for me anyways.

It could be a string of bad luck.
Or maybe you have reached the lower threshold of your MMR bracket. At that point it takes a while until your MMR will go even lower.

"Maybe a competitive mode for swf and casual mode for solo players."
I'd love a competitive queue and a casual queue, but would it work? Good killers who do not care about true competition and just want wins would abuse the casual queue to destroy teams.
I would like to be matched with survivors that have similar prestige levels. Prestige does not necessarily translate into skill, but it does mean that they have been playing longer. It is the inexperienced survivors that tend to mess up solo queue games.

Once you reach 'top-MMR' there is a buffer zone to prevent you from losing too much MMR on losses. That means when normally you should lose and gain ~20 points a match, you can only lose ~2 points. The best way to 'fix' this is to play the match normally, then when you win, purposely either give the Killer your hook, or hide and wait for endgame to kill you. This way you aren't throwing matches and ruining the game for anyone else, but you will eventually get playable matches again. I personally just deal with the bad matches, only because I get less bad teammates, and they are the real Killer in soloq.

May be the killer you faced also lose another 9/10 times?
Or trash Matchmaking.

Even if it ended up not fixing anything, this might be worth trying out.
But then again, it seems to me that a large percentage of the hardcore camping and tunneling comes from new players, so that might make the accessibility factor even lower.

1 escape out of 5-7 matches is my new normal. I noticed it got worse after medkit/boon nerf. It has huge time management impact, thus gens are not progressing, thus- 4k. Survs tried to compensate with gen perks/items, but got smcked with poop thyself and BNP nerf. Enjoy!

Higher prestiges usually have at least idea how to play. But someone who is low prestige might not just play their main survivor who is high prestige. So that would not work either would they get matched with other low prestiges?

Matchmaking doesn't work well is a large part of it. They need to fix the backfill issues/lobby dodging and raise the softcap a bit. If you're in solo queue you're at a disadvantage from the start. The escape rates from a year ago were only 39% across all survivors. That includes SWFs and doesn't include games where someone disconnects. I doubt the true solo queue escape rate is higher than 25-30%. In solo queue you can lose to mediocre killers frequently simply because your teammates are even worse. You get a lot of games where people just refuse to do gens or throw in order to do archive challenges.

I'll say it again and again BHVR. The important thing is to have "choices". You should immediately create a "Quality" queue and a "Time" queue i.e. Ranked Matches and Casual Matches.
