5 gens done in less than 8 mins in Eyrie of Crows, with 3 hooks and no camping!

BHVR,

What's going on here? You basically only want top tier killers left in the game? I usually complain about pallets and windows but in this team's defense they needed to use very little. Simply running across the map to try and catch without windows or pallets takes too long, and if you break off, they just go insta finish a gen.

A few months ago I was a solid 50/50 or 60/40 win ratio. I was happy with that. Now I'm lucky to win 3 wins in 10.

Whoever says the 50/50 win ratio is the right way to go couldnt be anymore wrong - its making it easier for less than mediocre survivors and killing middle tier killers. It's encouraging only top tier to stay and less than mediocre survivors to t-bag - this is crazy. Plus they complain if you camp or tunnel, but I struggle to even catch people in a straight line!

I know you read a lot of noise on here, I know you can't read it all - but I urge you to take a look at this. I was a guy that played about 10 hours a week as killer and loved my wins and losses. Now I get on, lose two matches almost always at first, then go play something else. If I get one win out of those two over 3-4 days, Im lucky.

I don't know, what is going through their heads. Probably some people mainly playing survivors complained the game became too hard, especially at low MMR. They decided to throw some stuff their way (MFT, Buckle up, new maps filled with safe loops, nerf regression perks) and now the game is horribly survivor sided.

Were you playing Blight by any chance? I had a game against a Blight on Eyrie this evening, they got 3 Hooks before all Gens were done.

Blight was anon, so I dont know their name.

to be fair, 5 gens when done one at a time takes 7 :30 minutes , but yeah 4-5 minutes is more accurate because 2-3 gens start being worked on as soon as game starts.

Its more of a spawn logic issue where survs spawn in a 2 clusters of 2 with gens not even 2 feet away while the killer spawns on the opposite corner of the map facing a wall like a child on timeout.

Eight minutes isn't a short time if survivors get to focus on gens (and one of the things keeping the most survivors away from gens is hooks; one is times out and one has to go get and reset them).

If they didn't use much resources I can think of only two things: they were prerunning (potentially with SB) or you had atrocious pathing so that they didn't need to use resources. Maybe even both.

But both of those are some big questionsmarks - did they focua gens? Die they prerun? How efficient did they path and how efficient did you path?

The info you provide doesn't really answer those questions. Maybe you have e.g. Shadowplay and happen to have recorded that match / can record a future match that is similar and share.

lol @ complaining at 8 minute matches... Matches are designed to basically last 10 minutes max... 8 minutes is a good time for the match. Its not fast. Sounds pretty average. Games get quite stale if they last much longer.

It does feel like the devs don't know exactly what they want out of their own game, and that's coming from someone who plays both sides more or less equally.

Gen speed nerfs, slugging nerfs, half of the perks offering endurance (exaggeration, in case that wasn't clear), gen regression nerfs, etc.

Seems like they can't make up their minds.

I reflect on the fact that:

-It should NEVER EVER NEVER EVER EVER NEVER take a full board to chase anyone once the chase music is on. Period. There is no skill here - this is NOT skillful looping. This is just easy mode.

-There should be bad choices for w-keying players. Just running for dear life? Shouldnt be a pallet or window at every turn. Sometimes there will dead ends and you will lose. FAR too few dead ends make it easy.

I guess I can be happy about the fact that I am playing the game far less (only commenting here when I play now) and much better killers will win, people like you will whine, they will make the game easier for you, you will t-bag like you are a bada$$ (here's a hint, you aren't), more killers will stop, etc etc until the game is unplayable. Hopefully the alien will bring back some fun but once you guys get crushed by him you'll be all over complaining, then you'll come here and call me out for complaining lol.

It may have been shorter than 8 mins, I made the time generous. It was the fastest I've ever seen. Again, if I always stunk as I do at some games, I'd just give up. But something happened in the Made For This patch that really changed the game for mediocre killers.

Again I started at one corner and chased them almost to the other before I could hit them. Then they could run back and do the same thing. I am all about dropping chase and I did and hate doing so after the first hit, but by the time i got across the board 2 gens were done and when I found hte next survivor another 2 popped

I'm also curious as to if I suck this bad why are they sticking me with 2-3 100 level players every few matches? I'm literally barely winning, makes no sense.

I mean, you make a good point about recording and I'm sure it would be helpful, but let's be honest people won't be helpful - it will be a bunch of monday morning quarterbacking about how I suck and should kill myself, blah blah blah.

    Heh... 8 minutes.

Many of my non-high-tier killer games enter the end in under 5 minutes. I've had multiple SWFs with 4 MFT/DH + hardcore W key. Those are very fun to play against.

Gen rushing doesn't always happen, and Eyrie is still one of the worst maps for killer. So this is an extreme example, a perfect storm of pro-survivor circumstances, you can't use extreme examples like this to make generalised arguments.

I don't have this experience. I play mid-tier killers with non-meta loadouts, and I still have a decent win rate, which I estimate to be around 60-70% depending on the day.

Of course, I give away escapes to the last survivor fairly often. So if I have a 70% 'win' rate and of those wins 1/4 of survivors still escape through the hatch and sometimes through an exit, I'm probably not gaining MMR. Which is exactly how I like it, I don't intend to ever cross over into the top MMR bracket.

You know that there's a trend of people having challenge now to play trapper without using single trap, camp, tunnel or slug and 3-4k-ing anyway? As a challenge these people still have 90% win rate...

Edit: I forgot to mention addons are forbidden too

8 minutes? Damn son, where are those survivors when I play? The ones I get are WoO + MFT / Buckle Up tryhards that would made me feel lucky if at least 2 gens don't pop up by the time I'm going to make the first hook. My only salvation in most games is RNGesus blessing me so I can use PR to slow them down enough to at least get a 2K 🤣

Agree with you. I also wonder where I made a mistake that all 5 generators were started at the speed of light (just one after the other) and then I go to the profiles of the survivors, and they have 3-4k hours of experience (with a full set of MFTs, etc.) against my 150 hours ... Everything would be fine if such games raised my skill in the game, but no, the only feeling is a misunderstanding, the game in this case can be delayed only because the survivors decided to stand near the open gate and mock you by crouching and shining a flashlight one step away from the exit

well... There's your problem. You went against people that had literaly more then 20x your experience. What would you expect? If anything, complain about matchmaking

Yes, I'm also surprised by the matchmaking system, because I didn't describe it as an accident, it happens to me all the time. But I have no choice who to play against😁
