You know what would be cool?

A survivor that was originally a killer, and a killer that was originally a survivor.

the killer just continued to resist the entity, so much so that the entity eventually went "you know what? you got it. don't wanna kill in my trials? then go survive them"

their perks could be knowledge based, since they were a killer for a bit so they just know some stuff. except for one perk, which would be a mini version of what their power was.

like for instance that killer that had the power to break structures (which bhvr decided to stop working on. I think it was because the power was too hard to implement properly... but don't remember the exact reason), maybe as a survivor his perk would be to be able to break breakable walls.

They could be this big hulking figure, but now powerless vs the killers. it's a neat visual.

and the survivor could have been so done with the trials that tried to gain the entities favour by attacking fellow survivors. until the entity realized that they would be more useful as a killer.

maybe the other one leaving the killer position and becoming a survivor is what ultimately sets this one off. because they realised it's possible to change where you stand

(I will be honest, this one is more to pair with the other one than me having an actual idea of how they would work...)

what do you guys think?

Yes! That would be really cool and creative lore-wise too. I feel like they tried to lean in that direction with Yun-Jin and Jonah but they didn't go all in since they aren't pure evil but more like morally grey.

this sounds pretty dope & got me thinking, would make the whole lore a lot more interesting, and would finally be something new/unusual. but the same thing goes to me, i don't really have any ideas on how that'd work, so let's just give it to the creators

i have a similar idea to this: a survivor version of an existing killer. most of the killers were normal human beings before so i think it'd make sense. i actually took this from a similar game to DBD, where there are killers as survivors but more human-like just like how they were before turning into the killer/monster they are now. for example, they could be named as their REAL names, such as, spirit looking like an average school girl (like it was mentioned in the lore), with her name being rin yamaoka, not the spirit. it'd be interesting to see human/before versions of some killers, although i don't think the devs are gonna make it happen. just an interesting thought

They already did that, The Blight.

    technically.

but talbot having been an actual survivor is so minor in his lore that it could be removed entirely and not affect anything. (so much so I honestly forgot)

In fact, I used to think he was like the observer and was in the realm as an intruder. until the entity took notice and used the flowers to turn him into a proper killer. at least until one of his tomes said he got sent into trials without wanting to...

but again, this is minor. and I would want someone who actively chooses to become a killer to escape being a survivor.

and like I said, the survivor turning into a killer was just an accompaning piece to the killer turning into a survivor, which is the one I think is actually more interesting. the idea that anyone can resist the entity in that way is very cool to me.
