Anyone Think "Watch Me Leave" Is Annoying?
I personally have nothing against BMing or trying to give the Killer some Bloodpoints, but I just really think it wastes so much time and can sometimes just be unnecessary.
Like I can understand waiting in/near the gates for Teammates, but if all 4 Survivors are there (or it is abundantly clear that all Survivors are in a safe position), you can just leave; save everyone the time and trouble, escape early so you can get more Bloodpoints at a faster rate.
Again, the BM doesnt bother me, Idc if people tbag or flashlight click, moreso I just dont like my time being wasted.

Doesn’t bother me. I just chase them out.

It’s only annoying if everyone is safe and there’s no tactical reason for a survivor to stay in the match. If that isn’t the case, there is absolutely nothing wrong with forcing the killer to hit you out of the gate to waste their time if it helps buy time for teammates.
I don’t mind if survivors let the killer get a free hit for points at the gate either, it’s only if the killer isn’t nearby and they are just waiting around for them that I would consider it annoying in any way. If the match is clearly over, just leave so everyone can go next.

I mean of course I chase them out as well, but half the time I have two Survivors at one Exit Gate, I chase them out, then I have to run all the way across the map just to force the other two Survivors at the other Exit Gate who refuse to leave.
Again, I dont mind the BM, Im use to it, just over time I have found it to be such a waste of time, and by that point I want to move onto the next match anyways.

Anytime they do that i always go afk until they either leave or the match just terminates

Yeah it's quite annoying. Like...just leave? And it's always that one survivor you never saw the whole game cause they kept hiding. 😭
17 -
I can see why its annoying... though personally I dont let it bother me and just take my bloodpoints for finding/chasing/swatting them out the door.

I love punishing survs for doing this. Once early into playing killer had a bully squad actually leave the gate to chase me down and BM me.
Ended up giving me 2 free kills with a lucky vault grab and hook grab after, including the surv who I hadn't hooked before the egc and had been BMing me all game. So that was satisfying.
Really need to try a deathslinger with tthe iridescent coin decreased tr build.

It's amazing the one who hides the most is usually the one doing most the BMing

The most toxic player is always the most useless one.
This applies to almost every other game as well in my experience.

Proposed change:
- If all remaining survivors are standing in the exit gate and dont leave within 10-15 seconds. The killer calls upon the entity to block the exit gate for the rest of the endgame collapse.
TBAG THIS XD

Simple solution: change Blood Warden to activate whenever the killer presses the action button.
People won't stick around to say goodbye. They'll just leave.

i just assume most of the playerbase are kids.

Real incentive to just leave would be a good thing.

There is one valid reason to stay in the gate even all 4 survivors are safe:
The PIP-system. You hardly saw the killer the whole match although you worked diligently on the gerators and left people behind? then BHVR will punish you with a DEPIP or at least no PIP in the higher ranks.
Waiting for the killer in the gate and get in chase and run out without getting hit might get you the missing chase points to prevent a depip or maybe gets you a pip

Oh hey, it's me. You can guarandamntee if it's endgame and i'm on surv with a pallet next to the exit it will be thrown down and vaulted over repeatedly. >:)

I just chase them out or go afk and let timer do it's thing. Like, I do the same ######### on surv so it really doesn't bother me that much. Sure, any little thing feels bad after losing due to the raw emotion, even a handshake and GG can is enough to tilt some people. Call me odd, but I just find it silly, non-harmful fun, and par for the course. You get the energy you give out, y'know. I ain't clutching my pearls over a TBAG, vault,or locker spam.

Need a combo, Blood Warden, NOED activates. They can't leave and 1 shot down.

And thats why i don´t go for the gate and specifically ignore survivors that attempt to go for a chase after the gates are open. If i depip, so will you.

Hex: Time's up
A Hex rooting its power in Time, commands the endgame conditions of the trial.
90/60/30 seconds After a Gate has been opened, Hex: Time's Up Activates on a Dull Totem (if any are available).
When Hex: Time's Up Activates, any open Gates will slam shut and won't open/cannot be opened until this Hex is Blessed/Cleansed.
Hex: Time's Up's Aura is revealed to any survivors within 16 meters of its totem, but gains an additional 16 meters of reveal range for every 45 seconds EGC has progressed since it's activation.
Any survivors behind the Gate that have not escaped When Hex: Time's Up activates are automatically sacrificed by the Entity once the Gate Closes.
If YOU are behind a Gate when Hex: Time's Up Activates, All survivors in the trial grounds automatically escape once the Gate closes, Whether the survivors in the trial grounds are hooked or not.
I proposed this back in 2019, still think it would be a good perk to mess with the survivors OP is talking about.

nothing speaks against it. the problem is the pip system which sadly leads to such behavior.
1 -
Pip system is designed to have the maximum amount of interaction between the team and the killer. If a survivor hides all match and never sees the killer until the gate is 99%, then he also won´t see the killer afterwards.
3 -
Personally I will say I hate doing this as survivor and other survivors that do this. I will also not try to act as if I've never sat and tbagged at the gate to a tunneling killer who failed at getting me

I used to find it annoying but now I just see it as an opportunity to get a late kill. And not just with the obvious instadown / ranged killers, either. Even managed to get a kill with my Legion by frenzying survivors at the the gate, then cancelling and hitting the Bill that was doing that silly 360 thing some survivors like to do.
If you're wondering, yes he did DC after that (I hooked his bot).
1 -
Yeah some people have too much time on their hands. If everyone is there then my mind is already on the next game
2 -
Don't care, as unlike something like bleedout I actually have the agency to direct my camera towards the gate using my mouse and press W for a few seconds to end it.
By all means add some sorta skip mechanic for both. Lever in the basement that ejects all living survivors, survivors being able to hook themselves/teleport to basement hook (if whatever conditions agreed upon are. Endgame only for both, more for the latter).
Both purely "gg go next" mechanics of course, so the former also makes slugged, caged and hooked survivors escape, and the latter initiates instant full sacrifice like if you're the last survivor alive. It's not a kill-securing tool or a setup for a deliverance/unbreakable unhook/whatever play.

Congrats, you lack empathy. You aren't upset about those things, but other people are.
3 -
I don't find this annoying in any way. I don't know.
I think I just got used to this a long time ago, so it's just became a casual thing to me.=)
1 -
And more often than not, they just want to gloat that they had never been caught all game. Like bro, congratulations you get your crappy trophy for being immersed, can you just leave now? I want to move onto the next match... >.>
1 -
They're also the one that ######### talks the most in post-game as well. Well done, you stayed hidden all game by jumping into lockers the moment you heard my TR, you're such an l33t g4m3r.

Not usually, but last night I played a rare game that actually slightly tilted me and the "Watch me butt dance" thing was the icing on the cake.
I was playing naked Spirit (no perks, no add-ons) just trying to practice using power and I got a 4-man SWF playing like their lives depended on it. 1/10 experience, not at all pleasant.
2 -
Don't get tilt by this childish persons who BM when they can (survivors or killers.)
They just have a severe problem with their egos. And probably a low iq.
1 -
It doesn't bug me because it's 2 minutes max if I don't go to the door I so I use that time it to break stuff/close hatch for extra BP and I can make it shorter if I do go to the door. It's not like when I'm getting slugged until bleedout and can't speed it up or earn extra BP while I wait for timer to finish. For me dealing with 2 minutes of survivors not leaving is nothing compared to laying in ground for 4 minutes.

I honestly wouldn't mind a bleed yourself out option after multiple people have been slugged for X amount of time in return that we get base kit blood warden for the game detecting that all survivors are either dead/near gates without being in chase.
1 -
Oh if multiple survivors make it to endgame when I play killer they’re usually all at the same gate. They don’t open both.

It's a video game based on murder, torment, suffering, teamwork, sacrifice, and survival. Empathy? Spare me the pearl-clutching.

It's not it gives me time to break doors, leftover pallets or farm zombies or I can tab and put my music back on and do other things..

Never said it was fine either. Both are annoying.
Slugging Survivors to death or slugging Survivors for the 4K (which often results in the Survivor bleeding out) are both wastes of time, and something the Killer has active control in. It is a fair comparison to draw.
I personally never really planned on addressing it since I personally never do it as Killer unless I am force to for an achievement or Archive (Im an Achievement Hunter, so pardon me).
I wish BHVR would make some changes to encourage Killers to hook instead of slug in those situations however; like making Merciless Killer require a 3K instead of 4K, or making Archive challenges not as strict.
2 -
yes. imo the devs should either add a base kit mechanic or perk that'll block the exit if the survivor stays near it for maybe more than 20 seconds.
2 -
You got it wrong. Its not tbagging and clicking in exit gates that are bm, but the time made you waste. Thats the bm you re looking for
