Exits Gates switches.
I think it would be a nice change if survs cannot 99 the Gates. After X seconds it stars regressing back to zero. What do you guys think?

Promotes boring gameplay and makes it so the last survivor has no way to actually open the gate.

not a good idea.

Regress down to the nearest "light" and stay there, perhaps. All the way down to 0 is a bit rough.

yes. either make it into a basekit mechanic or perk. they should also add something thatll block the exit if the survivor stays inside of the gate for more than 20 seconds. thatll fix the "watch me leave" mentality survivors have

Sure. And reduce gate opening time to 10s + make them spawn in guaranteed direct opposite of each other + create LoS blocker wall in front of it... Is that OP? So is poster's suggestion

I did not mention it but i want that the current solo 20% tech will be still be comfortably possible even with these exit gate switch idea. but if the surv wait too long, like really long. then the mechanic going to punish them.

I always felt like survs have really strong perks in endgame. some of them almost guarantees escapes, especially now. So i thought it would be fair to even it with exit gate switch changes.

If you add that only one gate can be opened at a time, I buy it.
It would solve so many things with the endgame for both sides + giving a reason for killers to be able to open the exit gates.

It'd be great. No reason a survivor shouldn't open the gate if it's 99'd. Their goal is too escape and so they should do it.

I always thought this should be the case. Blood warden can be pretty nasty/hilarious though. I think it should regress but at a pretty slow rate.

Why don't you unlock it yourself if you're playing as killer?

If they can Do that, make exit gates don't spawn right next to each other; and make exit gate regress at like 1 charge a second when left 99%. That can work significantly, they can even make it possible for the last and only survivors not necessarily having to worry about exit gates regressing at all, in that scenario. Obviously, exit gate regressing when everyone or there is more then one survivor alive in the end of the match is perfect fine, and forced them to commit to fully open the exit gates or stay at the exit gate and constantly tapping the switch.
Also, one amazing quality of life improvement change for one mediocre perk I like to see. WAKE UP, nows grants the passive ability to turn of exit gate lights on thw switch; to make a clean escape without the killer knowing.

I've suggested in the past that the gate progress decays to the last corresponding light on the door. So while it wouldn't regress to 0%, it would regress to 75%. I think that's fair. If you don't want the progress to go down, just open the gate. EGC gives plenty of time to do stuff.
99ing the gate has been a source of griefing, too, so I'd like to see that gone as well.

I do like this. It's a tradeoff then. Sure you have progress, but you cant just pop it whenever you please. You have to risk maybe not having enough time to open it (especially if they have remember me) or pop it and start EGC.

I'd recommend that if this is the case, then the endgame timer doesn't regress as long as the killer is within a certain distance of a hooked survivor and for several seconds after. Then the survivors wouldn't need to 99 the door.

Great Nurse and Blight buff idea! I cannot see any way this would disproportionately affect them and not do anything for the weaker and slower killers who actually need the help.

You won't reach the endgame against any good nurse or blight player. Those to whom you will always finish the generators (the weakest killers) are the ones who will benefit the most from this suggestion.
I also made this exact same proposition long time ago OP so I support the idea. I'm tired of survivors being extremely op (premades above all) so yeah basic changes like this one are totally needed for killers imo.

Do you differentiate between the phrases "much less chance of escape" and "you have no chance of escape"?
