Has MMR changed?

I played over 15 games just now, learning Spirit. Been away from the game for about a week. My MMR with her isn't high at all. But for some reason I kept getting matched with obviously way way better survivers/players than me. Majority of games I played were 3-4 escapes. It got so bad, it felt like I had no chance unless I camp and tunnel, and even then pretty much same effect. I know at night time MMR tends to be unfair, but tonight was particularly awful for some reason. And it was very consistent in matching me with higher MMR players.

I tried survivor a few rounds, and it matched me with lower level killers. Who also had to resort to camping and tunnelling, which I don't blame them. It was obvious they didn't have a chance, much like when I played killer.

Did MMR change? Killer ques were in demand (+100%) EST 12am~7am.

i have a similar problem. I played a few matches yesterday the first time for a cenobite and it was the worst gaming experience in my life. I was just bullied and decided that I would not play certain killers until they fixed their matchmaking system. let survs play with the trapper bot if they sit in the lobby for a long time, than they scoff at new player

I think it would be best for game to have an MMR ceiling for killers based on hours used on that specific killer taken into account. Learning new killer needs some buffer time to get the fundamentals down before matching with high MMR survivers who already know all the counters. As the players stacks more hours on a specific killer, the ceiling raises, and higher MMR survivers get matched.

It would also improve game health, in that killers will feel less helpless and won't resort as much to camping/tunnelling (as often it would feel to be the only liable solution).

That's the thing, right now what it has is a floor afaik.

If you have 2400 MMR with one killer, then the rest has a minimum of 1000 automatically (not exact numbers, but for understanding). That's why whenever you play with a new killer that obviously you don't know how to play as it always seems that you get survivors above your level, because you are matched against people that know how to counter your killer while you still don't even know to how your power exactly work.

It would be great for it to give you at least some "courtesy matches" where you are paired with low MMR survivors or maintain the same MMR so you have a chance to learn the killer before throwing you to the high MMR wolfs, but it is how it works right now.

They gave up on strict MMR matchmaking long time ago. It was kinda bad when you had players with two hour long queue waiting for tournament squad...

Everyone hated it too, this is closer to what we had with rank system (just worse imo).

Not enough killers is definetly not helping.
