Should dbd add a killer fov slider
It seems crazy to me that I have to waste a perk slot every game to increase fov (i get headaches without it), and still have worse sight than survivors 3rd person perspective. When survivors get 16 perks to killers 4 this really lowers the potential of my builds. I can't think of any negative from the survivor side to this change (most people don't use it). Is there anyone who disagrees, that thinks fov slider would be detrimental??

You say survivors would complain, but complain about what though. There must be a reason for it to be a valid complaint. Also my point is to remove / rework shadowborn too.

Nah, FOV would be a major advantage at its highest settings in a game like this, and personally I don't wanna play the game at "Quake Pro" as the Minecrafters would say. If there was a FOV slider, I would need to play at the highest distortion possible to ensure I have as much advantage as possible, and that would just look bad. Just like you were shooting yourself in the foot by not running DS back in the day, you would be shooting yourself in the foot for not compromising the visuals of the game for an advantage. I can picture a world where every killer can look over walls and around corners because their FOV puts chameleons to shame. However, despite my vote, I will say that shadowborn is a boring ass perk and needs another advantage to using it than FOV lmao.
Above everything, this game is already a delicate balance with spaghetti code, I think adding an FOV slider will just cause a ######### ton of vision/balance issues that would never get fixed this century lmao.

Fov BARELY affects balance when its shadowborn level. Accessiblity is far more important than survivors sometimes getting seen where they wouldnt before.

Even just having some kind of 5th auxiliary perk slot where you could only put less often used perks would be nice. More perks would get used, we'd have more variety in gameplay. A less exciting perk might suddenly be much more appealing because it fits in the 5th perk slot.

Still see which direction someone runs while kicking a pallet
See survivors crouching in a corner near a door you are entering
See surveillance aura change during chase without looking away from chase target
See survivor getting into flashlight save position (they would need to start going directly behind the killer and much closer, where their footsteps could be heard
Increased FOV is more OP on survivors than it is on killers, but people have gone through the trouble and risked being caught cheating just to make it happen with killers too.

Yeah. Unskilled players would use increased FOV to make up for their lack of skill.
