Nerfing Xeno = Singularity 2.0
"I wish turrets do more!", "I wish his tail attack is more punishing and worse", etc.
Do that and watch how Xeno will be replaced with Wesker, Nurse, Blight, Spirit and repeat.
Singularity is barely played because the power is hard and punishing and mainly because Singularity chase power is in hands of Survivors. Which is never fun.

Honestly I think it's a combination of the killer being new and oversaturation, once the pick rate goes down people will probably complain less just like with Artist.
I don't see Xeno's pick rate being especially high long term just because I don't think most console players will stick with them but we'll see.

I only agree with turret buff, I play xeno and I agree the turret is only good for ending crawler, and the stagger isn't powerful enough, they should probably up the stagger and reduce amount of turrets

unless they make turrets outright stun or slow you it will never be close to what emps are to singu

can't we just blame this ######### on made for this and call it a day?

Jokes on you I'm a console player and I am going to continue playing xeno no matter what console handicap be damned I will adapt and conquer it because xeno was my dream killer chapter and now that I got them I will be on the journey to prestige 100 xeno and prestige 100 ellen ripley

I wish you luck cadet. o7
I play Xeno on controller on PC and it's a challenge for sure but the muscle memory is setting in and I'm already hitting over trucks and cars fairly consistently so it is doable, I think doing it around corners is gonna be the hardest but it doesn't feel impossible the way Oni does which is great.

The thing is you can put Xeno back to where he was in the PTB and he'd still be strong. Some of the buffs he received were flat out unnecessary. From Behavior's standpoint it was probably done because they were afraid they'd end up with another singularity where the killer has an extremely low kill rate. That hasn't been the case at all and it actually seems like they went a bit too far. Literally no one is saying he should be nerfed to the point where he is useless. Wesker is strong but I never complain about him other than the fact that he is overplayed. That's because Wesker has fair counterplay. I will stand by my opinion that the tail is too strong and needs some minor changes.

i prefer face a wesker than xeno who dosent get punished by playing bad

Blight, nurse and spirit all have their own problems and should not be used a standard for balancing, but at the very least there is some skill required to play them and you are punished for messing up with their power. Wesker is also a strong killer who isn't incredibly hard to play and even he is punished for missing his rushes.

These new killers they keep bringing out are removing survivor skill expression and its super boring to play against. The game feels clinical and mechanical with the outcome decided in the first minute of the match. From Knight forward its just been downhill to be honest. Just make killers with movement abilities that have windows to dodge and be done with it. Making everything too complicated is not making anything better.

Wouldn't mind if the radius needed to place turrets was smaller but outside of that I wouldn't really do anything to Xeno. Admittedly missing a tail attack seems a little forgiving but I don't find it to be oppressive or anything worthy of change.
Are people complaining about Xeno though? For once I thought everyone was happy with Xeno but I haven't seen many complaint threads as I've been busy.
Personally I don't see Xeno needing many changes if any but I admit some of the buffs Xeno got from the PTB were a bit surprising. Notably the MS one for missing an attack. Is that a normalized speed for those type of attacks?
But again - I don't feel the power level of the turrets needs changed. Just yet again needs the radius restriction reduced because certain maps are a bit artificially more difficult because you cannot place them in some areas.

nobody enjoys going against a killer without penatlies uppong missing / failing attacks like yaaaay i did a good play as survivor and i dodged a tail attack *few seconds laters* ohh it doesnt matter the killer can just use bloodlust while using the tail and miss over and over without a considerable penalty on top of the fact that turrets almost do nothing by their own , okay.
they just need to revert that change back honestly missing the tails attacks should be more impactful with how easier is to use due to the drag mechanic and how they buffed the fire resistance against turrets.

Oh you still gain bloodlust if you use tail attack and miss? It doesn't reset?

yep it doesnt.

I'm seeing more threads complaining about complaints about Alien than I'm seeing actual complaints about Alien. It's almost comical, it's like 4:1.

Ah okay that does explain a bit. I don't have issues with evading the tail in 50/50 mind games but I notice that once I dodge the tail they just run me down and M1 since dodging usually puts me in a bad spot. I thought it was just the buff they gave the movement speed in general for missing an attack.

You literally have skill expression with how you place turrets.

People keep saying this, but he is suppose to have a 3 second cooldown with 2.0m/s movement after using the tail attack. That is far more punishing than other powers in the game.
If Xeno is not losing distance with tail attacks and is keeping bloodlust despite using his power, those are bugs that should be reported.
3 -
it's stupid you can spam and miss tail attacks forever with no downsides, and you still gain bloodlust when missing... to make it worst most xenos I played against just stay in tunnel near hook and camp
you're not playing survivor if you think current version is fun and balanced, it was ok on ptb before the speed boost

What do you mean by a “few seconds”? This game is incredibly fast paced with good survivors being very efficient. Punishing killers for missing an M2 for more than a few seconds is way too much in the current state of the game.

no why yall h8tin on made for this its not super strong anyways

I'm just trolling. i don't even think made for this is op.

aight yeah but some people just are h8rs

The problem is we don't know if they are actually bug or intended mechanics.

he can still move while recovering you know thats the important part of why he needs changes on that.
if he fails a m2 , doesnt matter he can recover while walking during that time and also hes able to gain bloodlust while doing that which is definetly absurd , so he can force a lose lose case either you die by the M1 or eventually by the M2 attack because of bloodlust which is a terrible design if you take in mind that landing hits with the tail is just waiting for the survivor to lock themself up in to an animation.

Again, he is suppose to have a 2.0m/s during the 3 second cooldown after a tail attack for 3 seconds.
That's significantly slower than Nemesis who has 4.2m/s during his 2.5 second cooldown.
Xeno being able to move during the cooldown is not a problem.

Yeah I cant tell you how skilful I feel carrying a turret around
1 -
understanding where to place them and how to use them once placed is certainly skill expression.

Then I wouldve loaded up Bloons TD instead of dying before sunrise
