So, random curiosity and possible suggestion for the devs.
My random curiosity can be boiled down to "Why are there no classic monster based DLCs?"
you know, like the werewolf, vampire, and several others? We have an alien, we have a mutant that raises zombies, we have ghosts and spirits, what about werewolves and vampires and other classics?
the suggestion part is a bit more detailed, follow along if you wish:
So, if the devs are open to a suggestion, I do have an idea for a werewolf-themed DLC.
so the lore/history of the werewolf as a potential killer goes like this (at least in my head, devs feel free to change it up if you wish) :
"Faolan Colt was an Irish logger in the 1960s, after a vicious, brutal encounter with a wild wolf left him with deep bite scars and claw marks, his mind started to play tricks on him, and drove him mad. in the 70's he was placed into an asylum diagnosed with clinical lycanthropy, the delusional belief of being a werewolf, following a decade-long spree of ritualistic, satanic sacrifices and evidences of cannibalism.
Faolan Colt was declared executed in 1985, but quickly following the news of his execution, the killings began again in larger numbers and far more frequently, alongside these killings came disturbing reports of a large creature at the scene of each killing, one that walks upright like a human, but the head shape is much more canine, hulking body bristling with fur, pale yellow eyes that glow in the darkness andthe most terrible sound, a shrill cry that sounds like a cross between a terrible, nearly human scream of rage and agony and the howl of a mad, hungry wolf.
Perhaps the entity seemed to have appreciation for Faolan Colt's sacrifices and methods to do so, and gave him a second chance. According to the laws of nature, humans can only act like apex predators because of their knowledge, ability to reason, and ability to use technology. You take those away however, humans are suddenly knocked from the top of the food chain and instead find themselves in the same link as bottom feeding fish and pigs.
And what kind of wolf concerns themselves with the opinions of pigs and fish?"
I was thinking of calling it several names,
'The Beast'
"The NightStalker/NightHowler"
"Fenrir" - Norse mythology inspired
or just 'the werewolf' or 'the Wolf'
fun fact, the name 'Faolan' is originally from a word in irish mythology, 'Faoladh'. Feel free to look either up for a small homework assignment.
Much love, from Venom.

The mutant that raises zombies (Nemesis) and the Alien are there because they're licensed characters from another game/movie not BHVR originals. I guess The Oni is kind of a classic character? (being a Japanese ogre and all), maybe a vampire would be a bit too comedic for dbd (personal opinion) but a werewolf sounds like a not too bad idea! Great story btw!

Thanks for that, since you liked the story, did you check out the name and word I suggested looking up? I think it ties it all together with a neat little bow. <3
