What is your expectations from next mid-chapter update?
Mid-chapter PTB is should be next week. So what is your expectations from next mid-chapter update?
Me:
- Some nerfs for weak and mid killers ( Pig, Slinger, Clown, Billy)
- Some buffs for non-used Blight add-ons ( Foxglove, Compound Seven, Shredded Notes etc. )
- Some nerfs for weak perks for both sides ( like Calm Spirit and Hangman's Trick nerfs )
- Some nerfs for most popular perks for both sides even if they don't needed ( WoO, PR, Pop, Corrupt, Adrenaline, Resilience etc. )
- A lot new bugs
- Some unnecessary changes nobody asked
- Some shadow changes nobody asked
I am not expecting from them to address actually real issues. Like map balance, camping ( we know this will come out but who knows when ) , Blight add-ons, some buffs for weak killers etc.

Not really applicable for the PTB, but I reckon the Player Cards are coming this mid-chapter, with the rift.

I was usually positive for mid-chapters but after a lot disappointments, i kinda lost my hope on them.
I hope they are actually good, we still don't know how they will look. And hopefully we can show them to other players or in lobby.
Better than prestiges honestly.

I hope you are wrong but honestly I wouldnt be surprised if you re right, based on my experience.
On serious note, what I want most this midchapter is adriana rework, finally fixing the fast vaults ffs, and hopefully many bug fixes.
I dont even want perk changes because I am really afraid of bhvr perk balancing ngl

I hope they do something about Blight, either his addon or base power, just like Nurse. After they rework or change a few Nurse addon, the number of Nurse players decreases.

Fun thing its that i really spect some of those.
Like this killer addon now works 0.1% better.
We added a new cosmetic for Dwight, a Cowboy hat, btw this (somehow) makes Clown to crash the servers so we need to killswith Clown.
We are nerfing another Knight addon that nobody uses and nobody cares.
Shadownerf, now if pig its crouched for too long she will suffer ankle pain and go slower.
We added physics to Megs hair. This caused Meg to fly so its also killswitched until haircut.

Since the game core will stay the same the usual:
perk changes
many.
And not just 10-15 or 20 more..

Trickster's rework (yes, I'm too optimistic)
Buff Freddy (let me dream)
Deleting a merchant...along with her map (I hate...that's it)
They'll fix the windows..(someday...)
Fewer pallets on maps (sometimes there are too many of them)
Optimizing the pace of the game (will never happen....)
A predator...won't it be a mid-chapter with a new character?

Midchapters are BY FAR more interesting than chapters.
I really HOPE they have good stuff in store for us.
My boy Freddy has - once again - received the Middlefinger of BHVR because they are unable to think about a Killers-Power while creating it for 1 year in terms of "what will happen".
Everybody was well aware, that a pure M1-Killer with static drones will 3gen, everybody except BHVR. Now, the important stuff gets delayed because of a original chapter failure. Congrats.
HOPE is always there. More than hope? No.

Hopefully not "like Nurse". The Devs so far have failed in changing Nurse in any significant way. Yes, her numbers drop for some time, then players realize she is the same broken Killer as usual and play her again.
When it comes to Blight, hopefully Add On-Changes. I dont think Basekit-Changes are needed, but once his most broken Add Ons are gone, we can see if he needs Basekit-Changes or not.
And I hope if they change his Add Ons that it is done in an interesting way. They should be fun and change the way to play him without being broken. We dont need Adrenaline Vial to become a Mangled Add On, Blighted Crow to become a Hemorrhage Add On and so on.

I don't really have anything I look forward to atn. Last thing I was excited about was the survivor UI addition and it still feels lucklaster. The rest of the changes are about perks I don't even use (ok maybe carrying Flashbangs with your item was a good QoL ngl). Just disappointed the killed fast vaults for female survivors as I primarily play them. Niche perks never get addressed on those updates).

Clown is a hidden S++ tier menace. This is why the recent updates
- made him unable to look down
- changed his point of view so his hands cover more of the screen
- removed the mist around bottle icons to confuse players
- made it possible to change bottles already thrown for further confusion
Forget Pig, nerf Clown even harder! We'll compensate by practicing more and playing even nastier! The Clown-threat cannot be contained!

"Member when they said 2 years ago that they were going to look into totem spawns due to how many of them being way too exposed/obvious and they not only ended up doing nothing about it but also made them actually even worse for new maps? Literally every single totem spawn on Nostromo is in-your-face. You couldn't miss them even if you wanted to.

My expectations:
- Unnecessary nerfs to perks on both sides, especially the widely used ones, effectively making them garbage tier
- Another map reworked to be useless
- Addon changes that make literally 0 difference
- Pig getting nerfed again
- Bugs
- More unnecessary changes that nobody asked for

My expectations:
certain parts of the community act overly toxic and insult the devs personally while hiding behind ‚they can’t take criticism‘ while not giving one bit of actual criticism
srsly though, I kinda hope for Blight add on changes, as well as some add on tweaks for other killers as well as perks as that’s kinda the norm now. Two or three maps from the same realm probably getting some balance adjustments. Aaaand. That’s it?

I really would love to see a good blight nerf, his addons have been untouched for way too long and they do not belong in the current version of the game, not even the speed addons.

Midchapters are the most interesting part of the cycle.

"what are player cards?"
Player cards are usually customizable things which can be presented. They can have banners, icons and other things on it. Maybe even stats, depending what the Devs want to do.
Here is an example from World of Tanks which shows personal stats:
This can be shown to the opponent when you destroy their tank. And it can show a variety of things.
So I guess we will have player cards which will be visible in the Lobby and/or the Postgame-Screen. Could just be the name with some Icons like favorite Killer, some Perk Icons or stuff like that. Personally, I would like to implement stats, because if you have big Achievements (e.g. many Hatchet Hits or something like that) you can only really show it off on external websites. If those stats would be available to show on the Player Card, it would be nice IMO.

Hopefully a Pyramid Head and Blight Add-on pass along with a Freddy rework and some major Perk changes. Probably not gonna be all in one update but at least something of that would be nice.

I know for a fact that they are nerfing WoO to match that description "mistake".
Which is stupid in my opinion but whatever.
I believe they will be making changes to MFT.
Pig will get another nerf.
Survivors will get another nerf and solo q will be further unplayable.
Xeno 100% will get tweaks at some point.
Dead hard will get nerfed to only have 1 use per match and the Endurance time reduced to 0.00001 second.

I literally expect nothing game changing in their midchapters anymore.

I expect them to prioritize bugs and getting the game back on track. Maybe we'll see some small buffs to 2 perks so that people actually play the PTB, but we NEED to have the game patched up. I know people are always saying that DBD's broken, but it has gotten overwhelmingly more broken since the anniversary. Fix the fast vaults and the glaring exploits I can't mention, that will make me actually play the game again.

-Xeno counterplay tweaks (buffing a bit the turrets / adding a more heavy punishment for missing tail attacks)
-Massive blight addon nerfs and maybe just MAYBE fixing the hug tech exploit.
-Survivor fast Vault fixes as well as maybe QoL for the servers and if we want to dream maybe a "window interaction validation"
-MFT nerfed to the ground i hope soo because F that perk.
-Flashlight exploit fixed.
-and maybe like a small buff to weaker addons on some killers.
-News about the anti-facecamp mechanic.
I swear to god if i see a single nurse addon buff am gonna be soo pissed.

Devs receive genuine criticism all the time and don't do ANYTHING with it. The most notable instance I can think of is when the devs changed the HUD and survivor animations. Pretty much everyone disliked them and they still pushed the changes into live servers.

Eh. Pretty sure there were some changes made for the animations and the HUD changes. And not everyone disliked them? Ever heard of the vocal majority? Some of the criticism was also taken and responded to and explained why it’s needed the way we got it. Also, just because they get criticized doesn’t mean they have to blindly follow anything that’s demanded.
i would advise to actually -objectively- look back at the stuff that the majority complained about and see that most of it got addressed in some ways. Sure, they are pretty slow on delivering most changes, but that’s another topic.
