Props to BHVR in new patch 7.2.1 on N.Switch
I just want to say that, before this patch the game was totally unplayable on Nintendo Switch. After this I can now play and feel the game run smoothly again, Thanks to whoever took the time to look into that. I haven't played on Ripley's/Xeno's map, which is the one that had lag issues on 7.2.0, but still It is nice to know that I can finally play the game "normally" (constant 30 fps) again.
I would highly recommend taking into consideration more that somehow, whenever a new update comes out, the game on Nintendo Switch breaks a lot of the time. Even tho, I just wanted to share my happy feelings on this one and hope It's not like... a "Placebo effect" and that in reality, nothing changed. So if you guys really twekeed the game so It can run better, amazing job so far <3

That is great to see. As someone who is still on old gen(ps4) I can relate because game was really bad at some point.
It is decent now tho.

The performance is a little better, still rough but better and not as difficult to play. It's a step in the right direction, I hope they don't neglect it in future patches again.
I'm convinced, however, that there must be a significant memory leak because I swear the performance gets worse the longer I play.

It does feel very much improved. It's definitely smoother. I'd say the Survivor experience doesn't feel a million miles away from playing on my PC now. I hope BHVR can keep up the good work for future patches.
I still whiff about 5 times before hitting anyone when I'm playing killer, though. But I guess we can't have everything!
By the way, does anyone have any killer recommendations for playing on Switch? My Legion games are feeling pretty rough compared to when I play on my PC. Which ones would you say are the most viable? I'm thinking maybe set up killers like Trapper or Hag could be good (she's a killer I've not tried out yet).
With Trapper, it can be difficult to know where best to place traps though, because the grass is kinda sparse on the Switch maps.

I actually tend to play a lot of Plague and Artist on Switch(?) I just don't have trouble getting M1s, also they can pressure gens easily, their gameplay helps me a lot personally

Whiffing is a constant problem I find on console, especially if survivors work out you're on console, they'll start heavy juking and trying to spin you constantly.
As we can't turn as easily as PC, a tip I find helps on any killer, is if someone spins you, the next time you get into attack range, quickly tip your aim up like you're baiting dead hard, and ease off your stick so you walk instead. If they start to spin, stop in place and as they run back into you, turn and hit.
They stop doing it pretty fast once you tag em a few times. GL brother! π

Idc what others say but playing dbd on the switch feels magical to me

After playing today, things still get choppy again after an hour or two of play.

I would restart the game every three to four matches on my ol' venerable Xbox1 to clean things up. Just became habit.

Sound advice for playing killer on console. Being spun is rough, but I learned long ago to stop or even take a step back to deal with it. In tight spaces I'll still get aim dressed into a rock or wall or tree or thin air though.
We could really really use more controller setting options.

Actually, everytime I wanna play DbD I also have to restart the console and then launch the game, because I could be wrong tho, but restarting the console helps in cleaning the cache, and at least for the, that've helped a lot

For me restarting often would help with forever & broken lobbies, frame rate, micro freezes, the works

I suggest bhvr ought to bring lighting and shadow setting options so players don't need to use filters on pc anymore and console players can actually see the game better. I think would be the best for everyone and maybe even have less lag because less shadows etc
