Buff the Pig Crouch and Ambush

The pig has a stealth ability that is highly underused because in most situations it isn't worth the investment because of how weak the ambush and crouch are in general.

  • Current Crouch Issue

The current crouch speed for a pig is 3.6 meters per second this makes taking the time to be stealthy and transverse the map lengthy and usually a waste of time. combined with the ambush not even acting like a surprise and not being able to work on strong loops.

Ghost face has a crouch speed of 3.8 meters per second. Ghost face can be completely stealthy at 4.6 meters while not crouching. So Ghost Face can have full stealth at 3.8 and 4.6 and transverse the map stealthy just fine. While the pig is forced to be slower in order to have stealth.

  • Current Ambush Issue

The ambush is supposed to be a tool that can be used to injure unsuspecting survivors who don't know you are there and as a chase tool. Yet the pig fails at both of these aspects. When sneaking up on survivors and staying out of sight the noise notification gives the survivors too soon of a warning allowing them to make the distance and you either completely miss the ambush or barely even get the hit. While using this in chase it only works on very weak loops or dead zones. Most of the time survivors will see you crouch hear the noise and just proceed to hold W away from the loop allowing them to make free distance.

Crouch Speed Buff

I don't think it's fair that Ghostface can have free stealth in either form and yet be faster in whichever he chooses. Make it so that the pig is at the very least crouched at 3.8 meters per second to have some consistency in design. I suggest though that the crouch speed should be 4 meters per second because you are forced to be in that chosen mode. This would make the time invested in transversing the map and hiding your position way more valuable and make the pig feel not as bad when trying to make a stealth play on a stealth killer.

Buffing the Ambush

  1. Buff the duration or speed of the ambush. Having the counter to your power being holding w is so boring and the counter to them holding w away from a loop is standing up and not even going through with the ambush. It leads to a chase power not even being used because it's underwhelming. The current state of the ambush is very situational and is used more as a mind game than a chase power itself. Basically a waste of design because I can just do regular m1 killer mind games. Make it so the power actually punishes boring counters and make it rewarding to actually try to deal with the power by winning around the structure. Whether it's by making the ambush go faster so you can catch up quickly or making it last longer so you can have more time to get to the survivor just as long as the power actually gets used in chase instead of normal m1.
  2. Keep the noise notification but make it slightly delayed so that when you actually sneak up on survivors it's more punishing and if there in a loop it actually sends the purpose of indicating that the pig didn't leave and took the time to ambush because with the changes it would actually be worth using the dash.

With these slight changes pig's design would be more consistent with other killer designs and actually make the pig have a half-decently unique power rather than just being your regular m1 killer mind games. Using the ambush is fun and so should playing around structures correctly.
