Holding the tape is not enough counter. Make it so she can't ping pong around condemneding us and has to hit the tape out of our hands only, or make her teleport cooldown longer and condemned us only by teleporting. She only chases when she knows the player is moriable and it isn't fair in solo queue at all. Killers shouldn't be able to just hit and run all the time.

So you are talking about the whole team not tunneling or camping?

She only chases when she knows the player is moriable

Than pick up a tape and bring it to the video recorder sooner?

Killers shouldn't be able to just hit and run all the time.

    why?

isn't fair in solo queue at all.

Sadly ATM that will not be minded. I asked in a thread to Nerf SWF a bit, so all survivors could be buffed but survivors and massivly against it. The problem is to make a mechanic thats not OP against SoloQ and not totaly weak in SWF. Sadako is weak against SWF especally if she doesnt bring the tape addon.

Out of interest how should a rework look like in your opinion? You allready have alot of counterplay against the ability with tapes and all

"Make it so she can't ping pong around condemneding us"

If you mean teleporting, that's what grabbing a tape stops. If you mean hit and running while building condemned, that's on you giving free hits.

"She only chases when she knows the player is moriable"

Then... don't let your Condemned get that high? Unless she's running Iri Tape (which, tbf, is an absolutely absurd add-on), getting rid of condemned is not difficult or complicated.

"Killers shouldn't be able to just hit and run all the time."

Says... who? The devs sure think they can. Wraith, for example, is described on the official DBD Website as "a hit and run specialist." Clearly, it's a valid strategy. And it works, then they'll do it. It's your job to adapt and learn how to counter it.

Be strategic with your tapes. Don't wait until you're already almost condemned to take a tape and then die as soon as you get hit. Take your tape earlier so you don't build up condemned from teleports and be careful while you’re holding one. If you think she’s coming to you or you need to unhook someone/are at high risk to get hit, put your tape away and get another one when you can. If you do get hit with a tape it’s no big deal if your condemned isn’t high, if it happens and she’s playing hit and run then wait until she’s far away from you, then take another tape and reset your condemned. You can also strategically decide when exactly to put your tape away - if you’re near the TV you intend to put your tape in and you hear her teleport somewhere else, you know for the next 10 seconds she can’t teleport to your TV and you can put the tape away safely.

This isn’t related to condemned but also keep in mind that she can use the TV screens as locational info - it will play the cursed video if any survivor is within 16 meters, otherwise it will just be static. So if you try to hide near a TV she might realize you’re somewhere around there if she’s paying attention.

I think most of the suggestions here are only looking at it from a viability perspective and not from a fun and engaging gameplay perspective. While the Condemned rework made Sadako more viable, it also made her tedious and repetitive to play against. It's a running theme with recent killer designs. A secondary objective or action is novel and cool if you're doing it sparingly, like once or twice in a trial. If you're doing it every minute or so, it's extremely repetitive. And you're essentially forced into using tapes as a survivor every minute or so if Sadako is teleporting on cooldown.
