Lobby dodging would decrease if we didn't lose pips

I am guilty of lobby dodging here and there as Survivor. I'm sorry but I'm not playing with Baby Dwight when I'm one pip away from Iridescent I. Please fix the pip system, I think it would help matchmaking.

I dont see why depipping is even a thing anymore. Its not like your rank means anything other than how much you BP you get on the 13th of every month. I wish depipping would just go away so I dont have to worry about it anymore.

Yes depipping is big reason for that and worst thing is it serves no purpose anymore. Grades are not ranks and are supposed to show playtime I have make dozens of discussion to update pip mechanics.

Yes it makes game so much more sweaty and for nothing. That 2 million bonus after month does not compensate even half the effort you put and stress. That's why I do my best not to care but I still sweat a lot when I know it gives me the pips and let me avoid depips.

On killer game might get gen rush swf squad you don't know before it's too late when you first play fairly and then depip. On killer pipping mechanics encourages destroying your opponents best way to pip is to tunnel every game.

Frankly, this sounds like extortion to me. "Hey, we won't screw up the matchmaking if you gave us quicker and easier progression!"

Not saying the pip system isnt bad or anything but imagine caring that much about pipping/depipping

I doubt removing pipping will put a significant decrease in lobby dodging.

It is weird that a player who gets facecamped out at the start of the match, is deemed to suck by the MMR system.

I actually do care about pipping and depipping. That 1mil bp each month helps me out greatly with getting prestigious and add-ons for my killers.

yea but the likeliness of pipping in red ranks is abysmal for survivor. De-pipping is frequent and sucks in general.

Pips may be relevant for newer players that still want to get the rank 1 achievements, but for a seasoned / veteran player like me, pips are pretty much meaningless. If you play enough, you will get to red ranks regardless, just so you get more BP when rank reset happens.

So about lobby dodging, I pretty much never dodge, even when playing with random perks (which I do nearly all the time), and it's clear that I'll get my ass kicked heavily. The only exception recently is the locker glitch by using flashlights before the killswitch, there I was prepared to dodge lobbies with 2+ flashlights (but never actually had to). Or when plying Hag and facing multiple flashies as well (when traps still could be burned away with a torch).

So all in all, I doubt removing depips would have a measurable effect on lobby dodging. That does not mean depip needs to stay, though. I'm not against removing depips and make pipping a little bit harder.

Given PIPs are no longer linked to match making it would go a long way to remove the de-pip.

I don't really care about pips, but some players really fixate on it (That's fine if reaching max is your goal) but one of the most efficient ways to do that is to avoid de-pipping and that often means dodging lobbies, which in turn screws up match making.

People will probably still dodge but you'd maybe get a few less.

I've done some lobby dodging, I'll admit. Pips were not any part of the reason as to why I would dodge, like they never crossed my mind at all. My only concern is how fun I think the match might be.

The best fix for lobby dodging is to remove the lobby. Ready up and join a game, not a lobby.

It's existence is a means for exploiting, and given the survey I had about six months ago, asking all sorts of questions about selling lobby cosmetics, BHVR likely intend to fill it with cosmetics they will sell us. Just get rid of it now and we can all avoid the worthless time sink.

I also like the removal of depipping, but it has nothing to do with the lobby in my opinion.
