Sprint Meter for killers

My friend who stopped playing dbd because they thought looping was boring with how overly simple it was wanted to share this idea and I thought it was neat. It would also help killers with lesser mobility to have a base ability.
NOT A PERK BUT A BASE FUNCTION FOR EVERY KILLER
This could be a nice fit for replacing the bloodlust mechanic since the speed is good and the burst makes it fair enough. Course, stuff needs to be tweaked but the concept is what matters, here.
When holding shift, you can move 25% faster for 5 seconds. It can be cancelled by simply letting go of it (maybe add a toggle feature) and the cooldown will be twice the duration of when you used it.
CANNOT BE USED WHEN USING CERTAIN ABILITIES LIKE RUSHING AS BLIGHT, PHASING AS SPIRIT, CHARGING SPRINT AND SAID SPRINT AS BILLY, WESKER, basically anything that requires you to charge the ability and is a separate and complex enough state from m1.
Easy to change in order to make it fair so if you have any ideas on how to adjust the numbers to make them more potent while still being fun to play against. Personally, I think this is good because you can use this as a window to throw a pallet on them if you see them sprinting. (Doesn't need to have a sprint animation since you can tell when they abruptly speed up but it would be nice.)

Heh, it'd be funny, but every single survivor main would scream and have a fit over it.
Also blights rushes are based on his base speed so I think he'd go Mach 10 if you combined it all.
Personally I like the idea, it wouldn't help killers like nurse and spirit as much as it would help M1 killers, which is what we need.

I'm not a fan of the idea. They already have Bloodlust, which allows them to move faster the longer the chase lasts.

i think movement speeds should remain something that is never tampered with aside from perks that require specific requirements.
killers literally have a power and chase perks for a reason.
if these powers and perks prove to be lacking then I'd rather fix that instead.

That'd allow the killer to outplay basically every loop on command. That's like 5 stacks of PWYF and it's basically impossible to evade 3.

sounds like clown pink+yellow bottle combination except i think his lasts for 2.5 seconds? the idea is already a power but currently killer power is not too effective at timing speed boosts. far from unloopable. that is what I will say.

Clown is pretty much unloopable, you kinda have to predrop and camp pallets. He also has to actually set it up instead of just pushing a single button.
You're crazy if you think this is even a remotely good idea.

Dead Hard for killers

I don't know. i have escaped almost every clown trial. I would not be escaping if it was unloopable. setup is too weak for him. too much counter-play. I don't think this is a good idea for all killers but i think this idea could replace bloodlust and it would be more useful then bloodlust.

Oh yeah, let me adjust that. Originally that was what they said as well. I simply forgot because my memory is trash lmao. And as @Devil_hit11 said, this could be a fitting replacement for bloodlust.

Which is why this will not be able to be used when charging and using a power that changes your state of movement. It's meant for plain ol' m1 movement and nothing more.

As I have said, stuff can be tweaked so stuff can be altered on Clown specifically to account for that such as the speed boost being capped to +25% regardless of the antidote.

For the last part of this burst of concerns, I'd like to say that this applies to what I said in the above reply to your initial thing regarding Clown. The duration could be tweaked or the potency in speed could be reduced. This is simply meant to add more interesting gameplay on the killer end aside from just using their power.

"Press button to win loop" doesn't exactly strike me as interesting gameplay. There was a Survivor perk like that once, and people didn't like that very much.

As you can see, my friend hates the looping aspect of dbd. Personally, I love it but I wouldn't be opposed to have it be more of chaining tiles.

It kind of seems that your friend hates the fact that they can't loop and want a button to win every tile for them, at least that's the vibes I'm getting.

You're telling me you don't find running around in a circle silly when you think about it?

This would be absolutely OP.

Please give ideas if you're going to state the obvious. Adjustments to duration or speed. This is meant to shake things up, anyway.
