I can't help but think that Xeno's tail is glitched
On survivor side, I've had a lot of luck recently with dodging the tail on reaction, it seems as if it's slowed down quite a bit (forgot to clip these, only game I had against a Xeno since the patch).
On killer side, there is no universe where any of these hits, where my tail hitbox runs straight through the survivor's hitbox, somehow miss, with an open time that is somehow longer than Nemesis. Nemesis hits any of those hits any day of the week. How in the world do these miss? Can we please get a dev to review this footage and comment on it?

same impression. i have been playing some alien and it feels like Alien tail is not register a hitbox hit on survivor until i finish entire alien animation. it means that if survivor is like near a wall or something, you cannot hit them. you just hit the wall. I am pretty sure i am suppose have a hitbox on the tail as soon as i start tail strike animation, not after it is completed.
On leon, you hit the floor. the game register you hitting left side of leon's feet as there is yellow spark on left of leons feet.
in clip #2, you hit the bush.
in both cases, you hit an object first instead of hitting the survivor. either way, Xeno tail needs bug fixing. it feels terrible to use. it was not like this on last patch.

I am fairly confident the hitbox is bugged.

Yeah. Something is definitely off.

So they nerfed Xeno, tried to fix one bug and introduced another bug from the looks of it, what a surprise. 🙄

Why has this not been fixed yet? Can we get like any response to this from devs at all?
I have played PTB plus 15 prestiges before they patched the revert nerf in... I was doing just fine, everything was hitting and missing as it was supposed to. Now though, I often can't hit someone locked in animation, who is vaulting a pallet or window. It is frustrating beyond reason seeing the tail go right through them.
I'm about to charge back money from that DLC. Not going to play a broken killer.

Didn’t even consider that it was in a bugged state. I’ve been having a very bad experience with Xeno since the nerf and just thought it had to do with the movement speed on missed cooldown.

I played 2 days after that patch thinking I was crazy, that its just in my head. But then Streamers and content creators also confirmed that something has changed to the hitbox or to the way the tail works. Proving it with video evidence. Whatever it is, I don't understand how they can screw up so easily and why this is not a priority fix for them... This is a brand new DLC, it should be spotless.

Yeah there is a problem with the tail attack.

The hitbox is bugged from how it was.
The Hit only connects at the end of the tail and it's animation, therefore you hit straight through survivors.

Damn, I thought I just lost grip on landing his attacks.
Classic BHVR.

It seems bugged unless you're directly in front or behind the survivor. It doesn't seem to be registering on the sides of survivor hitboxes. I've had survivors who I thought had their hitboxes disabled until I hit the tail directly behind them.

I'm unable to drag his tail sideways and get hits at this time. This is bad because it was one of the most fun aspects of his PTB setup. I can still hit animation locked survivors and I can still drag it downward to counter a duck reaction dodge.
But aside from this, I just did a match with all sub 30 second chases and it was a 2k. Something is just not good enough with this killer. And although it was argued to death about whether or not he was fair with a no cooldown tail, he had potential to be competitive with the top of the rooster. Like this, even with the hit box fix, I don't think he can be.

It feels delayed to me like it feels like the hitbox and/or tail sound happens half a second or a second after which is honestly has me have moments of confusion

I remember issues with Wesker in the first weeks too.
Give it time.

Ah. Was going to play him tonight. Guess I'll wait.

Well...
The people in charge would need to say something like:
"We're looking at the specifics of his special attack..."
But instead we got:
"Toxic Behavior!??... LOLOL! Thats on the player base to resolve!"

"The DBD-Team is aware of this issue and well look into it but we cant give any concrete detail as of right now"

Okay, thanks.
I'll just wait on that line, behind the Twins.
I'm sure you'll get to this issue right after lunch!

Glad to read this. Bought Alien yesterday, went for a BOT-match and a real match after this with the new killer and something felt wrong. I felt very stupid, I thought it was on my side, being to noobish for this killer or my aim to poor and was a little bit sad. Put him mentally aside already, thinking; "well, at least I got the perks for my money".. good thing I can give it a new try after some sort of fix.

They have already fixed the bug in this ptb. You just need to wait a bit, at least until next Tuesday/Wednesday. After all, this bug was recognized as an bug a couple of days before the last bugfix, they physically did not have time to fix it. In any case, wait for the correction, it will definitely be (:

In the first video if u reproduce it at 0,5 speed you can clearly see it failed but the second one its clearly a hit.I think they made the hit tail with same hitbox as deadslinger harpoon

From my experience on the PTB with the tail, that hit should have raked Leon's ass.
The changes to the tail are not so much about nerfing or buffing it. The changes alter how you can use it, and I would call it a "nerf" if on average, I found less opportunity to use it. Its been very difficult to drag it laterally as it is configured now, which in the Leon example above is pretty useless overall(cause you always just M1 him at that range and angle), but over a short wall was very useful.
Someone mentioned they fixed it on the new PTB. I'm not going to download that again and test it. But I'm not trusting that the developer team will make it useful again, just expecting them to make it different.
And I guess we'll see what the community decides to make of the changes.
