Harvester makes you invincible.
The hay bale from the left window you land on is wide enough that you can sit in the middle and be completely immune to non-ranged attacks. Vaulting the window as killer often loses chase and makes blocking it impossible, the survivor doesn't have enough stagger to slow them down so they can make it again without issue. Excuse my harshness here, who the hell thought that would be a good idea, and why do they still have a job with map design.

This was in the game before and got remove. Why they put back in tho? we will never know

I don't know why this keeps getting re-added. It's been removed and added back in multiple times now.

If you vault the window, they lose the "invincibility."

shhh don't tell them it's a survivor secret

Last time I checked, killers can also vault windows

Wildly floundering at the shack window from the outside because a survivor vaulted into it, thinking they're invincible because I can't hit my spacebar.

Did I not explain twice how that doesn't do anything. The stagger from falling off the haybale doesn't slow enough to stop them from making it to the window again without trouble, and it's easy enough to get around the harvester afterwards that the game drops chase because of LoS, stopping a window block or bloodlust. I had a match with a swf using a coldwind offering. Any chase I had, they ran to the harvesters. I was Wesker of all killers. Vaulting with his power wasn't fast enough, being 115% wasn't fast enough.

Explained thrice now why that didn't/doesn't work

Entity blocker also exists

If the only way to win a loop is by vaulting 3 times, that’s a badly designed loop.

I also just explained why that doesn't work. Excuse me but I have a feeling you're not reading anything and just going off the title :)

They shouldn't be able to make it to a Harvester. Especially not against Wesker.
They are not invincible. Please do not stretch the truth, it makes your other points appear less valid. You should not be losing chase in that situation.
You could also just....you know, not chase them

I recommend you just leave the loop immediately. That what i do when the survivor know about the hay bale. Eventually it get taken out again but into than you gotta deal with it. With that being said....it pretty lame. The fax that people telling u to vault the window is insane.

People telling you to vault are survivor mains who've never played killer. The solution is to pressure other places, the survivors simply can't be caught there.
I suggest you make the game as boring for them as possible, look up and go make a sandwich. Take a break and look at some memes

As I just said. It was a map offering swf that abused the harvesters. Unless I ended a chase near immediately, they ran to that window spot. Every survivor, every chase.
It doesnt help that chase registration is so shoddy that I have to be kissing someone's ass for the game to start one

It is funny how harvester has gone through about 80 different iterations, and they keep tinkering with it. Someone at BHVR has a real penchant for these things.
Anyway, harvester prior to this change had been pretty useless for survivors. Best thing you could use it for is Balanced Landing, or trying to win the 50/50 on making the killer think you are vaulting ramp side so they jump onto it, then vaulting haybale side instead. Why they removed the ability for survivors to also jump to the haybale on the ramp side I don't understand. It made the tile interesting and fair to play for both sides.
That said, I will take the current harvester over the boring previous version. Various killers can play around the haybale (and not only ranged killers either - Trapper can trap it, Wraith can catch up, Hag can trap it, Myers vaults faster and catches up as a result, Doctor can prevent the vault, Bubba can crash into the haybale and get you up there with tantrum, Freddy can trap it, Clown can gas it, Spirit can both surprise-vault and catch up, Demo can shred you on the way back up, Oni has Fury, Plague has Corrupt Purge, Pyramid can get you through the vault, Blight catches up or might even be able to rush hit you up there, Twins can leave Victor down there, Nemesis can use strafe tech to get the tentacle hit, Pinhead can use chains to catch up, Artist can leave a bird down there or even shoot one up, Dredge can leave the remnant down there or up there, Wesker can vault it with a bound, catching up as a result, or just use bounds to catch up after vaulting, Knight has guards, Singularity can teleport to you up there), it's really only Billy, Pig, Legion, Ghostface, Sadako and Skull Merchant that can actually get forced to vault more than once. And not even that is guaranteed: if the survivor jumps off the haybale when the vaulting animation starts, they do not make it back around to the window. They have to jump when they see the killer up there, which opens up mindgame potential, either to surprise the survivor with the vault or to make them jump off prematurely, then drop off to the side or vault ramp side, to try and cut them off. Bamboozle also exists, something you'd be well-advised to use on M1 killers anyway.

You seem to be chasing in a strange way when you lose chase. I dont lose chase while going after a Survivor. Sure, they get the Window 2 or maybe even 3 times, but it is not like it wastes that much time to begin with.
If you lose chase and cannot build up Bloodlust or an Entity-Blocker that way, it is most likely on you.

I had fun with a Xeno on it. He was on the ground trying to hit me on the haybale with his tail attack (pre-change). It went on for so long I'm pretty sure he was just curious about whether or not it was even possible to get the hit.

I'm pretty sure it's possible to hit a survivor up there with the tail attack however, is it not? I haven't tried it myself and I also haven't tried to play haybale against Xeno, but I can't see why it wouldn't just be a free and easy hit.

True but it makes the harvester way stronger than it needs to be. Especially against killers without strong anti-loop powers. It might be alright for a Wesker, a Blight or a Clown (purple and yellow bottles should make it manageable) but these aren't exactly average killers in chase.
Wraith, Myers, Doctor (elevation counters the shock), Hillbilly, Trapper, Freddy, Pig, Nemesis (maybe in tier 3), Legion, Ghostface, Demogorgon (no chance to hit them with the shred) and Sadako will have a hard time dealing with these. So it affects once again mostly the wrong killers.

He didn't get the hit and ended up leaving me (made me pay later though). I dunno if I was just lucky with my dodges or maybe far enough back that my hitbox wasn't accessible, but he certainly tried different angles to no avail.
