Survivors... why the need to cheat?
I might could understand if there was some type of ranking system everyone saw, but there's literally nothing to show for cheating to win. Cheats that make you guys run the entire game like Flash, hiding in walls, just so you know, we do know you're needing cheats to win lmao! Come on you can't feel good about it when it's all over. Don't fool yourself you do it because you aren't good.

wow wow, calm down. Everyone hate hackers; nothing has to do with "survivors."

Same reason why killers cheat. Or anybody else cheats. It’s not a “survivor” thing.

I've been noticing killers cheating too. I encountered a Bight who had the pallet-breaking power of Compound 33 but didn't have it equipped. After that, had a Leatherface who instantly recharged his chainsaw after breaking pallets despite having an add-on that increased the charge time.
Another thing I hate about Made For This is that it makes it easier for survivors to speedhack without being noticed. Then there's the teleporting, flying, and infinite flashlights.

Some men can't be bargained with... can't be reasoned with... some men... just want to see the world burn.

Sorry I was speaking on just what I was seeing. I am certain Killers do as well. Again I understand if there was some game wide ranking and it would make you feel good to be a top 100 or something, but literally none of that exist. Its just odd to me I guess.

Pretty sure they do it purely to ensure other players have a bad time. That's it.

gee I main this killer thing and i never saw a killer cheat guys, its the survivors where all the hackers are..

My favorite recently was an Elodie with no perks equipped but she could vault and sprint, or in open space sprint away from a gen then once I managed to get a hit on her, wouldn't you know it... Made For This haste. Just makes me laugh, like be less obvious lol.

It's sad, but you have to get used to it in this game, Cheaters are a respectable source of income for the studio.
When you consider that 60,000 cheaters were banned in 2022 alone and to this day there is no automated system, but can only be banned based on obvious video footage created manually + ticket, that's amazing.
In the end it's about money, we're not talking about Larian here.
2 -
you can’t honestly think any studio wants cheaters to prosper in their game?
If it gets out of hand, your main source of income, the casual playerbase, leaves outright.
Not to mention that it spits in the face of years of work.
2 -
It's already out of control.
Recently a player was convicted of cheating after years of winning tournaments and receiving prize money. How was he convicted?
By carefully manually analyzing the irregularities of his gameplay. He kept the whole thing very subtle and only used it when it was safe/necessary. And these type of players are becoming more and more.
Those who are too obvious and get banned often buy a new license for the game, with 60,000 accounts banned in 2022 alone, which by the way is about 164 accounts per day, that's a lot of money and I don't have that feeling that the developers will have a high priority on developing automatic cheat protection in the near future.
It's sad but a fact.

But again, if cheaters overtake the game in its entirety, as in, the casual playerbase, BHVR loses the vast majority of its playerbase, and revenue stream. Cheaters don’t give a damn about cosmetics, characters, perks. They just unlock ‘em outright.
Not to mention that a metric tonne of cheaters’ accounts come from significantly cheaper or even straight-up free accounts, so the profit is even more negligible. BHVR doesn’t get a share from hackers selling cheats either. Hell, if they can find the actual entity that sells them, they could even sue.
Plus, developers generally want to make their game enjoyable. Sure, they’re slow with the anti-cheat, but this is really not as deep as you make it out to be.

so now others see it to. im glad its not just me. I was saying this for months now. as killer you will see them almost every game. as the other side killers hack to seen a speed hacking aimbot deathslinger lastnight.
alot are hiding it so well its hard to get a video on them.

To be fair, the developers care about revenue and if players enjoy the game and invest their money in skins etc., that goes well with that. The fact that developers are primarily concerned with the games quality is an anomaly that happens from time to time(Larian Studio), but is more an early 2000's story.
It may not be as bad as I present the facts, but it is definitely worse than the average DBD player base assess.

I had 4 games last night. 2 groups were cheating. One I was chasing and they slipped up thinking I couldn't see them run from a walled area at the speed of sound. The animation was ridiculous like someone on fast forward.
The other was one where they could sprint the entire time. Here's where it was ridiculous. I think they believe they are hiding it because although it's not them in fast forward they are running ridiculously fast the entire game. They were out running my Hag who has a 7.5% speed bump through add ons with play with your food and rapid brutality. Sorry you're not going to out run me the entire game. Yet here we are!
Now the insult to injury is the cockiness. The running around trying to get chased when the gates open, the Tbagging. If you cheat just do your gens and go. Let me get to the next game quickly. But please don't be cocky over it, you're an absolute loser to cheat in a game that literally has no benefit to a win/loss percentage.

I think Bight can still break pallets with his power with out Compound 33.

The flying Ghostface throwing hatchets is not so common anymore, same for the lobbies with two killers. A killer may seem strangely faster than normal, but the survivors clearly hide their cheats less.

As a mostly killer main i can say i see cheaters no matter what side i play
dont only include survivors 🗿
4 -
Please remember, that if you do face someone in your game that you suspect is cheating - please report these players, we do take action on reports (and it helps us to find information on new cheats etc).
Thank you.
3 -
But don't you still need to go to the website, open a ticket, and submit video proof? Most of us are not streamers able to record every single game we play just in case we run into a cheater.
5 -
With "report" you mean WE have to perfom a long and tedious way to create the ticket, record the video (and if i forget well nothing can be proved or seen ) mark the relevant section on the video for YOU to analyze (because, your team wrote to me saying "we can't watch the entire video you have submitted, tell us exactly what to watch and at what time"...sorry ? after all of that i've also to do YOUR job? ) and then after X time we receive a message that our case has been solved.
Sorry but not anymore, i can't spend 30 minutes to submit a video just because you have a poor anti cheat system in place and no replay system or a better way to report cheaters. Improve your system and i'm glady report if i notice something weird but right now na, it's your problem to fix your game
