Legit the nail in the coffin I played a bit today to see how it would feel and yeah im just done, I unistalled today and I feel way better like a giant swamp has been lifted off my shoulders.


Dont want to be camped

but noooooo, ontop of that we are going to give them a basekit deliverance on any hook state, and to the idiots saying just dont camp, you fail to realize sometimes its smarter to camp to bring out stealth survivors or gen jockeys when you hook and leave and the min they hear your terror radius W key cross map and the hooked gets unhooked you get legit 0 value for leaving to begin with. Im just tired of constantly having to fight uphill battles just to have fun in this game. survivors are allowed to abuse and have stuff like MFT but now killers cant even hook grab, survivors have legit 0 reason to go for saves bc they can just do gens and let the survivors unhook themselves now, all this change is doing is giving yet another safety net to survivors and making it harder and harder to casual killers to do there job and kill survivors...... thank you for the amazing memorys I had as a kid but Im washing my hands of this game.

    My main issue is this shouldnt be a basekit thing to begin with, just buff something like Kinship or deliverance most the survivors that complain about playstyles like that NEVER run the perks that are used to counter it, they would rather run a full gen build and complain about slugging instead of rocking unbreakable. im just tired of the hypocrisy that this community brings. and ive been having ppl today purposly down themselves near almost 99d gens so i legit have to stay far away and they either pop the gen or save the survivor, I cant even sit and let a gen regress....

    A dying survivor counts as a standing survivor and slows down the progress. Carrying a survivor now pauses the progress. These were changes from the ptb.

    this is for the most egregious type of camping, I don't get how people are legitimately mad about it as if it's an unhealthy change??

    you really can't refrain from doing this ???

    play something else if this is what you had to do to secure 1 kill, clearly you were not having a good go at it to begin with

    It's a healthy change. It's just unhealthy design.

    It's a passive effect that removes agency from a player and utilizes several triggers that are barely telegraphed to players involved.

    It can come across as logical to "guard the flag", but instead of introducing base-game methods for Survivors to get around the Killer, this system just instills the idea that "you can't guard the flag". Not because of the actions of the survivors, but because the system itself says so.

    Not to mention a lack of transparency of the system while in-game just leads to more "okay, what's the threshold? Have I reached it? Should I be concerned about it? etc. That just takes up extra thought".

    Survivors are just running to shack to drag yhe killer into a pretend loop but then just continuing to run while the killer spends a few seconds trying to mindgame the shack when the survivor actually never stopped at the shack to begin with. Gives free unhook credit since no survivors are nearby.


    I'm likely retiring from dbd because of MFT being untouched, on top of this AFC mechanic punishing killers who aren't even face camping, and on top of even that having background player now absolutely guarantee free pallet saves. Makes playing the weak m1 killers completely frustrating. Bully squads are absolutely king, now. Killers are a joke. So many hoops and survivor rulebook rules they have to abide by. I mean, seriously, 100 guaranteed pallet saves now. This is freaking ridiculous. M1 killers already had to work overtime to earn their downs, now they arent even ALLOWED to pick up survivors at a pallet.

    I mean, look at this crap.

    And that one was just testing so you'd know where they were coming from. Face the wrong direction, no chance. If they had a flashlight at all, no chance.

    Survivors are the power role, now.
