Probably just spawned because someone was doing an older challenge from the tome where you have to collect nectar or something from the blighted plants.

It's a progressive thing they've started doing before major events.
I can't remember if they did it for this years anniversary, but the event with the void holes had a black hole in the sky getting bigger over a few days before the even started.
For this, it initially started closed and has been getting progressively more grotesque in the last few days.

yeah its probs a bug i know some maps have things like this during Halloween event

I doubt its a bug considering the timing

They did a similar thing last year on the Macmillan water tower as well. It was a fleshy, goopy lump.
As far as I know nothing ever happened with it and it just disappeared after the event. Hopefully they don’t that again this year and it’s actually has a meaning!
