When Can We See Prestieges Again.
I just want to see the Prestieges again.. It's quite annoying to NOT see it till the endgame is done..
Cause my God.. Hiding it in the First place is not it Chief.

hiding it is the right call tired of people dodging me over and over because I have a high prestige. hopefully they hide it soon for everyone.

its in beta, some people prestige is hidden, while for others it is not. I don't understand what this test is supposed to prove only testing on a portion instead of on everyone.
Its a massive issue. When I play my high prestige kate I watch killers join and leave over and over sometimes for longer than 15 minutes this is also after the initial queue to even get into a lobby. we're talking an upwards of 20-25 minutes just to get into a game. Then the poor replacement is usually a baby killer who I sadly trounce or a savage monster and I get tunneled right away.
however when I play a low prestige character I don't see the dodging and m unless I have a high prestige in the lobby.
dodging over prestige is stupid as hell because prestige is only proof of time investment, not skill.

Not only that. It's a big issue because @Mandy once said: Dodging lobbys result in a matchmaking issue.
It can put a hardcore competitive killer vs new survivors. Or otherwise, a new killer vs 10k hours survivor mains.
Each time one dodging and other is joining.

Funny enough... idc if you're a p100 or not. it's down to a "Are you a Two Tap or Not" while chasing...
i already got a p100 David and a p100 Clown... Prestiege don't mean skill.. Just means you put an Effort into said Character,

It's called A/B Testing.
the data they are trying to gather is if seeing prestiges REALLY makes people dodge.
If a killer that can see prestige dodges 20 lobbies a week or something, but killers who can't see them dodge on average 2 / 3 lobbies then it would show that hiding them is helpful and would likely alleviate some (not all) dodging issues.
The only change I want is seeing your friends prestiges, it's annoying that I have to ask my friend what her P level is because I can't see it, and often when I'm P100 someone will change to match me and I always wanna know if they're a "true main" because it makes me appreciate them more.

A lot of people don’t want prestiges hidden. It’s not even a dodge thing. I grinded to p100. Why would I want it hidden?
I think the amount some of y’all on here complain about “being dodged” is dramatic. Being p100 isn’t super uncommon or scary anymore. Everybody has got high prestige characters now. I’ve got p100’s in nearly every single killer match, if not more than 1.

And the reason being those survivors dont live up to your skills is most likely lobby dodging. Which is why people are asking for hidden prestiges. To lower the risk of outliers coming into your games.

But... This would make Prestige even less useful. You said yourself that Prestige does not mean Skill, but it reads like you would assume that a Survivor with a low prestige Level might not be good, yet you dont know if they are not P100 on another Survivor.

They're not being dramatic. I don't have any higher prestige survivors yet I get matched with a fair few P100s, or close to, everyday and the dodging is absolutely predictable. Nothing to the extent of 15 minutes (perhaps those stories are indeed exaggerated) but there is definitely dodging. And the ones that don't tend to target the higher prestige ones.

No thanks. Give a different reward for P100, like a skin.
I haven't played Survivor since Alien, but prior to that, I'd still get dodged several times prior to finding a Killer.

Why tho? Seeing it in the lobby means lobby dodging and worse matchmaking times for everyone. Plus you can still see it in the endgame

I can still see prestige levels. Only a select group of people can't see them, which makes no sense. Prestige should be hidden for everyone.

I've said it many times but the entire lobby should not exist, in my opinion. Given the fact that BHVR put in a survey I did a few months ago whether I would like to buy cosmetic background items to show off in the lobby, I want it gone even more.
End the lobby. Queue up, start a match. If you aren't ready don't queue up! It is too easily exploited, clearly, as everyone that likes this thread's point is abusing the rank information to dodge players they don't like.
On a side note, perhaps BHVR are punishing the regular lobby dodgers by giving them this unique 'test'. Lol!

I think the demographic of people who are against this change (lobby-dodgers) only care about their own experience. They don't really care about the overall game health, matchmaking or the community. They just want to have the option to cherrypick their opponents until they come across a lobby of survivors they can potentially stomp on. They express "P100 isn't skill anyways so stop hiding prestige!" here as an argument only to instantly skip every P100 they come across themselves. Their arguments are usually very limited since there isn't any fundamental reason for prestiges to remain visible now except for "to show it off" but that argument doesn't hold much weight either and it's a pretty surface-level excuse for it to be visible.

I will take literally anything to combat lobby dodging at this point.
There's enough complaints about MMR issues, but how many of those are forced because people are desperately searching for 'easy' games?
(The answer is we don't know, until they start making changes to combat lobby dodging).

What does tunneling have to do with seeing Prestieges though...
All i said was WHEN will we be able to SEE Prestieges again...

Genuinely hope that they'll keep it as a post game thing only. Whenever I'm in a lobby with a p100 player, a lot of killers dodge the lobby which messes with the sbmm system

May we know why you wish to see them and why it's annoying? You said yourself you already vs ppl "ain't up to par" so why does it matter?

That would make sense, but no. Prestiges are hidden from me on PlayStation but not on Switch. I don't dodge lobbies on PlayStation nearly as much as Switch (and on PS I dodge lobbies as survivor, not killer, and that has nothing to do with prestige). I can't reasonably play killer on Switch, but I have to play killer to complete challenges, and that means dodging many, many lobbies to get a group I have a chance in hell against when my framerate is in the single digits and survivors move faster than I can turn my camera.
I'm happy prestiges are being hidden, they never should have been shown in lobbies in the first place. But it will mean more killer matches on Switch where I move the analog stick with my foot while watching movies because the survivors have played the game for more than five minutes, meaning I'm less of a threat than the hedges.

It has a lot to do actually. There are killers who do go after what they perceive is the weak link by their prestige.
And you've still not explained why you need to see them...

You still get to know that, though. Prestiges are shown on the end tally screen. They're only hidden in the lobby.

Not just "Lets force it on Players and Lets see what Happens"

But in this case it's not testing to see if a feature works, like with the wiggle skill checks. This test compares the behavior of two randomly chosen groups of people, seeing if those with prestiges visible in lobbies dodge more than those without. And if people can choose to opt out of the test and see the prestiges, then you'd end up with more people in the control group than the test group and a lot of people leaving the test group would be the exact ones whose behavior is in question and the data would be useless.
tldr: A/B testing is different from beta testing a feature.

They should just give more rewards for facing high prestige characters. And while yes prestige does not equal skill its far more likely that a lvl 100 Kate knows the maps, tiles, and loops better than a lvl1. Make it more rewarding to play against them, and we will stop dodging

I don't know what you're talking about, prestiges are still there and were always there ever since they removed the ranks that were shown.
I hope prestige level gets removed from being seen by killers and is only shown to other survivors because every P100 player I ever played with got tunneled out early on and that should not be your reward for all the time & bloodpoints invested into a character. I never wanted this new system and the tunneling you get once you hit 100 is a slap in the face.
Yes it is when it's abused and that player is tunneled out and forced to choose between playing as their favorite character that they spent all that time prestiging or playing as another just because the P100 makes them a tunnel target. I can't believe this is even a discussion. And I don't even understand how it is when prestige levels are STILL BEING shown.

To about half of the playerbase. The other half do not see prestiges in the lobby. BHVR is testing out the change, seeing if it actually does affect the amount of lobby dodging. BHVR has outright said they are performing this test.
I hope that once the testing is over then prestiges will be permanently removed from lobbies (they never should have been shown in lobbies in the first place, a lot of us spoke out against that before it went live because it was so damn easy to predict what would happen), but who knows.

i've said multiple times that Prestiege don't mean skill but Dedicated... And i don't know if i would say Abuse by Tunneling that Specific Survivor out of the game.. Maybe they're actually decent at looping and the Killer wants to Practice Chase or something... (Or it's the Ladder and they just wanna tunnel for the Hell of it)
Let's be Real here for a Second. It don't matter if you're p100 or not that gets targeted by the Killer. it's just down to Fate and Chance that He found you and then wants to tunnel..
