server issues since event

is there something wrong with the servers right now? ive had high ping around since the halloween event started. my ping on other games is the same as its always been, and i did multiple internet speed tests, but its nothing abnormal. my ping in game is sometimes above 100ms, which is more than double than what it normally is. i remember during the anniversary event that the servers were very stressed, so im wondering if a similar thing is happening now

    Came here to ask the same thing. I've gotten dedicated server disconnect issues. The problem is when it disconnects because of their servers, I get a DC penalty which sucks because I'm on 15 minutes and it's just going to keep going up. It's very frustrating

    They need to remove the penalty for when the server kicks the bucket.

    This should be a given. :(

    ive been fortunate enough to only run into the server shutting down twice since the event started, but ive seen players complain about this issue A LOT. hopefully they at least take away the dc pen before the event is gone

    My theory is that the server can't handle generating a "second" map.

    Judging by scream/gen notifications while in the void, the Void Realm seems to spawn over the "main" map and still has some rng generation to it (Haunts don't always spawn at the exact same locations) and I think sometimes the server just isn't made to handle 2 maps at once.
