PC - "Corrupt Disk" but only for DBD?
SO. I play on Steam and my game has been fine for a long time, but suddenly the other day I tried to update it since I hadnt played in a few weeks, game got to the end of the update but then said "corrupt disk" and wouldn't finish the update as it should have. This has never happened to me before, so I didn't know what to do other than try to see if Google had anything for me, and nothing on the list of options has worked so far and now that I've uninstalled the game to try and reinstall it to see if it worked, I can't even reinstall the game now because "corrupt disk".
EVERY OTHER GAME I've updated since this has completed theirs without zero issues or problems so it's specifically DBD, which has confused me even more. What the heck do I do?

Did you happen to do something during the update by accident? Sometimes interfering with updates can be dangerous.

Not that I know of, I never play anything when I am updating games, that way it lets it go faster
I was literally just watching youtube at the time

The weirdest thing here is the fact you play on Steam, which I assume means you don't have a disk in the first place, and you get that kind of error...
Normally I'd recommend a restore but it's been a tad too long for that. Firstly I'd submit a ticket to BHVR support and see what comes from that, if nothing gets fixed try to contact Steam support.
Strangely enough, I've heard of Xbox players getting a similar issue, the only difference is that the game still works for them even if the "disk error" icon is displayed (which means it's likely a problem on the live service's side).

Their stupid Observer submit-a-request thing just parrots all the same things everyone else on the internet has told me to do so that's just been pointless, so might need to try Steam support
