STOP FLAPPING YOUR ARMS ON THE HOOK!
THIS is so annoying. I will no longer unhook until you stop. I am an Altruistic 'we'll make it' user but I am done with this crap.
I have Kindred on, I see you and the killer. I will decide when it is safe to save you and by the way, if you're waving your arms when you see me Sprinting to save you, I'm turning around.
There is a unhook delay for your rescuer when you do that animation so knock it off or die in 1st hook.
And the annoying "uh uh uh uh uh" sounds you make, especially Rebecca, are enough to send ya, they really are.

i do that because i get bored and spam m1 . dont even care if you save me so wanna have a 3 vs 1 go ahead. but staying on hook is boring im gonna be waving at you everytime i see you plus attempt an unhook out of spite. lots of love my dear

That used to be the case but people do it constantly now. Even when the killer is nowhere near them.

I want to save you but you cause a delay which is annoying. I was just venting anyway. I'm too damn Altruistic to leave people on hook, regardless of the reason. Just been a bad few weeks.

I do it sometimes to be silly when I died in a funny way and the killer spins me, when you can just tell they're laughing as well.
But I never do it to say unhook me faster.
Sometimes I'm bored and want to feel like a little birdy :)

In a similar player behaviour on hook note...
For some reason I like it when a player tries to do non-fatal self-unhook attempt as I'm about to get to them safely... it costs me unhook points if they actually succeed, but for some reason I just enjoy watching the animation...
Kinda feels like you race in save someone who is genuinely dying/struggling to get off hook and escape I suppose...
Also is just an acknowledgement of 'I see you!' 😅

Flapping the arms was originally used to show the others, that the killer is camping. Then people started to flap their arms out of boredom. Beating the purpose.
While we are at it, could we also stop attempting to self unhook when the teammate is about to arrive? I didn´t come from the other end of the map, so you could kobe in front of me.

I'll stop doing it when survivors get a better way to notify their team they need to be unhooked. You should know playing survivor how often you see your team just ignore you on the hook or realizes you need unhooking when its too late and you die before they even get there. The game needs some kind of ping system or better communication tools.

I gather information. Which teammates are where, If I see on the hud that Tapp has a gen 90% done and saves me then I know where I'm heading after the unhook. I can see where the killer went and who if anyone they're chasing so I stay away from them. I see which others are injured so I can help them. There is a lot of useful info to gather on the hook.

I just wanna know, do you all realize that flapping your arms like that speeds up your hook timer and puts you into second state faster?
If you don’t, then you should probably stop to give your teammates more time to save you.

Yes it does. Time it out yourself and see. I’ve just missed a first stage unhooks becuz of the seconds lost due to the constant spamming of the self-unhook mechanic

I used to flick the arms to parannoy the camping killer. Was always funny watching them walk around and check behind trees and objects whilst nobody is there.
Weren't little flicks a universal language for camping killer and big long moves for 'its safe'? Barely see anyone flicking anymore.

wiggling arms is supposed to mean stuff but i just do it because i need to do something in the meantime, just hanging there is boring, sorry. the killer might not be nearby or someone might already be on their way to save me, but i just do it to do it.

Somehow this actually makes sense.
You're on a meathook. You flap with your arms. That's should hurt more than just hanging, shouldn't it?
