Demon Dash changes
Onis Demon Dash needs a change to it or the blood orbs that drop from being wounded need to dissipate after a certain amount of time because the infinite demon dash oni is just impossible to play against.
I think either he needs the billy treatment and gets stunned or slowed when slamming into objects while dashing, gets much less mobility while dashing or the blood orbs dissipate after a certain time and add-ons can extend that time to balance.
As it is I think oni is a little more on the busted side than the balance side but doesn't need any drastic changes just subtle ones that would make him less seemingly infinite one hit down that can cross map in seconds.

Just predrop pallets
14 -
He smashed it and then gets you shortly after since his slam cool down is shorter when hitting pallets.
2 -
You misunderstood. You predrop so he doesn't get a hit until mid to late game.
Solves most of your oni problems.

I think when he is in his power additional blood orbs don't spawn, not sure on that one... Oni is a killer that basically has no power before he gets at least one hit, just delay that one hit. His power is as strong as it is because it is time limited...
No killer should get the billy treatment, they butchered him way too much... Oni is fine as he is...
Also I don't really know what you mean by unlimited power? Because you could just heal and play stealthy while he is in his power and there is certainly much you can do against him in chase, watch some good players or guides.
1 -
He need to keep his power for most important situations/ Cuz without his power he is just 4.6 killer without power. Predrop pallets bro. Than more without hit then good. 30 sec oni's game rule. Take a hit within 30 sec from start, and u all die against normal oni/

Oni's power in my opinion is the strongest in the game. That is why it is so hard to get. Pre drop pallets and keep yourself healed and it seriously reduces how much of the game he can deploy. Sure if you just sit on a gen injured he's gonna have unlimited power. He doesn't need a nerf. People just need to stop greeting pallets so much. And I know you love you mft and resilience but against him they aren't worth staying injured.

The way healing has gotten nerfed to the ground you'll never get a gen done vs oni with any anti healing perks like sloppy, thanstaphobia, etc.
I think once he hits power blood orbs on the map should all disappear and once he ends power they start pooling again from injured survivors.

Except he gets a notification when you predrom pallets and or breaks them as he comes across them before chase even starts. Not sure how you think that's a good strat?
0 -
It's not about "dislike" it's about balance. He has very strong map pressure, high mobility, aoe one hits with add ons and no real counter other than "heal" which has been gutted for survivor. He's really hard to loop more than a few seconds when in power and has a charge ready after every chase/hook.

Don't run either of those much as they don't do anything against mobility killers which are what most people use these days.
0 -
Healing did not get nerfed to the ground, self-healing got nerfed.
And who the f* is running thana except for nurses doing their adept.
0 -
If you manage to get hit by a pure m1 killer like Oni without his power that's kind of on you... Also thanatophobia does not influence heal speed does it? So the only thing is sloppy... Come on man...

You are not supposed to ore drop pallets from a mile away? Serious question: Are you new to the game? Because if not how are you not familiar with what the term predropping means?
0 -
That is just not true, he needs to earn his power, when played against properly he looses 2-3 gens before getting his power. His counter is looping and playing safe when he does not have his power and basically using the fact that he has limited turning while in his power to dodge it and besides that loop rather normally or in ways he cannot turn...
And healing with other people did not get touched, just healing with a med kit...

There's a limit to the number of the orbs that can be on the map and older ones do go away once the limit is reached. Not to mention early game against Oni you should be doing everything in your power to avoid getting hit since that's when the Oni is weakest.
Oni hardly needs nerfs and nerfing his power access hardly makes sense.

You misunderstood again...
Match starts. Oni find you first (can happen). You use your brain or windows of opportunity to get to a loop / pallet. You predrop that pallet in his face. You run to the next pallet. You do this for a long time until: the Oni dc´s because of this boring gameplay, the Oni gets a hit because he mindgamed and outplayed you or the Oni gets a hit because they destroyed a majoprity of pallets on the map. Until that point at least 3 gens should be done. Then you try to survivore one demon rush (not that hard on many maps) and your fine.
Oni is not overpowered at all.

I play pig. Hardly any mobility here.

You realize that half the killers are m1 killers right? And they all are viable with the right build just some less than others at high level play. Saying "just don't get hit" when the odds are stacked against you on purpose is brainless response.
0 -
You act like most survivors can loop like pros. Most solo qs are not pros and you need to realize that and stop trying to balance things around that mentality

Congrats? Want a cookie?

And back to my previous comment, if you pre drop, he insta breaks it, quickly recovers and is right back on you. Yes you can do this and chain pallets IF there are good pallets, IF you get lucky with a good layout and then all pallets are gone in 1-2 minutes and the rest of the game is an unsafe map. That's hoping your team was doing gens and not hiding or afk or etc. You can't balance the game based on swf high MMR or the rest of the 95% of players suffer.
Like I said in the post he doesn't need major changes just something minor with the blood orbs preferably

They all have a power that allows them to get a hit/down... They are either stealth and can sneak up or have a power... Just because they are m1 does not mean they have nothing... The odds are in favor of you if you know what you re doing... So maybe think first before you call something brainless...
0 -
Dude if you just predrop pallets you don't need to play good, that's the entire point we re all making... Predropping and running to the next pallet does not require anything from a skill perspective but finding the next loop...
1 -
What do you mean quickly breaks? He does not have his power... And by doing that you can deny his power long enough without needing any skill, if you are good at looping even better than you don't necessarily need to ore drop, but otherwise just play it super safe and don't get hit...
Also with the talk about skill, are you assuming that the Oni player is just that much better than all the survivors or what? If so seems like a matchmaking issue and once again nothing wrong with the killer...
1 -
Why?
0 -
Predrop IN CHASE man, not when the game begin
Maybe learn the basic mechanics and accumulate at least a hundred hours of gameplay before complaining about a killer who is, at most, mid tier
1 -
300+ hours of gameplay, good at looping, videos to prove it. Nothing you say will change my mind that he needs slight adjusting with his blood pools. There's a reason that if he gets hits within 30 seconds it's ggs. That's because he NEEDS ADJUSTING. Again SLIGHT adjusting. I never said he was broken or op or needs a nerf to the ground. SLIGHT adjusting.
Y'all act like the game isn't killer sided other than high tier swf which is 1% of players.

You do realise that 300 h makes you basically new to the game and people will not take your claim serious now ^^ And with 300 h you re most definitely not good at looping... No offense buddy but even then it is only GG if you give oni the information to catch people and then not loop him during his power which is completely possible if the oni is of similar skill level...
2 -
3000* been playing for 5ish years on and off.

I'm still not quite sure what you're not understanding. Oni doesn't start with his power. The proper way to play against Oni is to deny him his power for as long as possible. This is achieved by not letting him injure anyone for as long as possible.
You do this by:
1) Run away to a pallet when he starts approaching you.
2) If he engages in a chase with you, don't try to loop the pallet; just drop it. This is what people mean by "pre-dropping" pallets.
3) If the Oni breaks the pallet, run to the next one during Oni's regular break animation. If he doesn't break the pallet, loop the pallet until the Oni gives up and breaks it. If he refuses to break it and uses bloodlust to force a hit, that's a huge waste of time on his part and your team should usually be able to complete at least 2 or 3 gens before the Oni is able to get his power.
If all survivors play like this the Oni probably won't be able to get enough hooks and/or downs to get a 4k.
Some other tips:
- If the Oni uses his power without knowledge of another survivor's location, hiding away from objectives for the duration of the power can be a good stall tactic.
- Sometimes, if you do get hit first, it can be beneficial to get downed early on purpose so that there haven't been enough orbs spawned for the Oni to fully charge his power and so he has to get yet another hit.
- Pay attention to the Oni's playstyle. If you notice that he likes to slug the first survivor downed in order to snowball during his power, it's usually in your best interest to drop what you're doing and immediately pick up the slugged survivor to avoid the snowball.
There are some other tips and tricks, but I think this is a good place to stop for now.

You have 3000 hours and you don't know the phrase predropping???
1 -
Yep, I've just had my last encounter... I'm refusing to play against Onis anymore. Too hard playing by yourself and no chat on Switch.
1 -
He is the most basic m1 killer before getting his first hit and really fun while in his power but you do you I guess xD
1 -
Oni is one of the most balanced killers in the game. There is no need to change him or his power. A good team knows how to not give him hits and denying his power for the first 3 generators. His power is strong but definitely mind gameble.
