Hey Blight Mains!

Few questions if you dont mind :)

1: Best and worst map in your opinions for Blight to be on?

2: Survivor perks that just irritate you?

3: Any oppressive survivor perks?

4: You find a skilled, but toxic survivor in game. How do you handle this?

5: What survivor do you think Blight would get along with outside of trials? (Excluding Claudette.)

Ill have more if these gets some interest and answers.

    1) Best map I’d probably say is midwhich in terms of straight oppression capabilities. Macmillan is still good too. Worst, yamaoka and swamp.

    2) Sprint burst can be irritating to play against as blight. But I can 9/10 times play around once I know they have it. Some good survivors will still properly 99 it and it becomes a strong counter to blight.

    3) Hmm. I’d say a full team of good/productive survivors with resilience (and not afraid to be injured all game) can turn very oppressive. The gens will get shredded.

    4) It honestly depends. I go into every match ready to play chill and nice. If it’s a team of skilled AND toxic survivors (the type that probably just bullied and 4 outed against the m1 killer they played before me), I will go full sweat. I haven’t found a survivor I can’t catch, so if it’s just one, I’ll give them their first chase which usually ends pretty quickly. If they come looking for my attention after their first hook, I’ll just tunnel them out.

    5) Hmm. Probably Dwight. I think Dwight would do best to not set Blight off through. Or Elodie.. 👀

    "" I haven’t found a survivor I can’t catch,""

Sir... are you serious? Be real.

When playing blight, yes, I am serious. Some are better than others and may give me a longer chase. But I always catch them. I couldn’t tell you the last time I had a survivor I absolutely could not catch with blight.

When it's just pure skill vs. pure skill, the player with the most skill should prevail.

However, this game has around 21097 different variables to contend with in trials.

80%-90% of my hits and downs are by lethal rush if I had to guess. I’ll go for rushes even if an m1 makes sense or is free.

Edit - I will m1 if the tile forces me to, so to answer to your question.

Best map is Wreckers Yard or Coal Tower. Worst map is Mother's Dwelling or Lerys. Maps I just hate playing are Swamp maps, or Yamaoka.

I will say Quick and Quiet. I antiloop based on sound and look out for fast vault queues. Randomly not making sound after a fast vault throws me off. Also, Buckle Up FTP. Not because it will make a difference, but because of how egregiously broken the combo is against any other killer. I will typically hard tunnel anyone using this combo. Also MFT for the same reason.

Any perk that increases efficiency. Only way most common Blights lose is survivor efficiency. This is We'll Make It, Deli, Renewal, Hyperout, etc. I typically play mostly perkless, so anything that makes my chases significantly longer or removes my pressure is strong.

I hard tunnel. If you're dumb enough to try and BM a P100 Blight, you'll be the recipient of my wrath. In 99.9% of my games, I go out of my way to not tunnel, or camp, or play dirty in other ways. Unless, again, I spot some obviously broken perk combo that exists to bully weak killers, or a broken item combo (like Syringe+Serum or just Styptic), or see a map offering to some egregiously survivor sided map.

Feng. Because I main Feng. But in all seriousness, probably Claudette. They're both nerds and could revel in their passion for chemistry.

    Yes.. Feng Army unite!

Claudette was off limits due to that obvious reason. :P

Your tunneling/etc line of thinking is interesting. But about 'perk comboes that exist to bully'

Are you serious? Literally BHVR's fault, and not everyone bullies: Its just a strong perk combo. Assuming automatically its a bully is no better than just outright tunneling imo. But I understand and respect the reasoning lol.

Thanks, these actually helped a lot lol. Doing my homework on you Blights :P

I thought about starting a series on here of “did you know you can hit this?” Where I showcase many of the fun spots on various maps that you can land some hits that most people don’t think possible… For the sake of showing aspiring blight players some of the fun stuff you can do, but also showing survivors some things to look out for.

Would this interest you at all? If you’re doing your homework on us.. xD

The way I see it, survivors are already the power role. Especially in a SWF, and especially against 90% of the killer roster. From personal experience, survivors that bring the super sweaty perks, with the super sweaty items, with the super sweaty map offering, are only interested in bullying killers and being toxic in post chat. These are the survivors I long to play against on Blight. And yes, in my eyes, they're attempting to bully weaker killers - give them no chance at a win whatsoever and make them feel small, all to bolster their own ego. When I get survivors like these, I give them a dose of their own medicine, and bully them into submission instead.

Yes, BHVR is to blame for these perk combos existing, but the players are also to blame for taking advantage of them when they're blatantly broken. This also goes for killers, taking advantage of COB+Eruption+OC during the peak of the genkick meta for easy wins. I have little respect for players that take the easy road to a win every time. I have even less respect for players that act like the win meant anything after stacking all the odds in their favor, and start being toxic.

Don't get me wrong, not all sweaty play is toxic. But all toxic play is sweaty. This:

is not toxic. They played coordinated, and played very solid, but didn't bring any egregious map offering, nor did they BM at any point. They just tried their hardest to play optimally. This, however:

is toxic. The map offerings themselves were fine, but they spent an inane amount of time clicking/bagging and trying to get my attention. These are groups that weren't interested in simply winning and moving on, they wanted to make someone's life miserable.

Did you know they added an invisible wall to the Sanctum of Wrath staircase ledge? You can't fly over it anymore and skip the staircase. I found out last week after I was teaching a new Blight player the killer. I tried with Vial+Crow then Double Speed before realizing I was slipping unnaturally. BHVR nerfing funny techs smh.

Worst maps corn fields can't see yhe objects you want to hit. Best map probably swamp.

Irritating perks personally sprint burst there's nothing wrong with it.

As allways deadhead but it's also not broken. just hard to bait out without zooming past them

Kill them (i dont mean tunnle them) if they are better you should hopefully notice this and go for someone else. It is a team game after all

    Honestly probably wesker

Blight and wesker ( i know you said surivors but)

Blight an alchemist who makes a mind numbing concoctions that enhance physical capability

Wesker a viraloglist that enhances, developes, and self tests his own viruses . Most notably oroboros virus that either adapts to or takes over your body.

I feel like they would work together to make a concoction that grants super human capabilities without the full body take over
