This kind of safe spot is really tolerated by BHVR?

Some should recognize this spot... Trying to anticipate his movement (the basics of the game), I find a survivor there, and it may not seem like it, but it is IMPOSSIBLE to hit him as long as he stays in the back. There's literally only a 30cm step, but nothing works, he just stays there, waiting for the first opportunity to escape and return to his favorite spot at the first chance.

It's maddening...

Can someone explain this mess to me?

I more or less have my answer. However, I find it strange that I'm the only one who thinks it's ridiculous. I couldn't care less about the map's balance, that's not the point. There are so many maps in the game, it's normal for some to be stronger for both sides.

However, the existence of a spot that punishes survivor anticipation when the game is supposed to reward good anticipation makes no sense in the game. In addition, it has a design that openly mocks the killers.

The map is 2 years outdated and was obviously released almost exactly as it was 2 years ago (except the new Killer props like sprays & tunnels). The map design team was also completely different (and it shows) so it's likely it will get a rework at some point like Haddonfield.

There's bound to be tons of issues.

Just go up top and he has to run it's no different to a survivor standing on top of a hill and looking down at you or on the other side of one of the new tiles with ramps on them

Honestly you could probably just teleport in there if you put a biopod down and infect him too not sure as I havent seen this spot against a singularity yet

It's not a matter of knowing how to get there, the issue is that the survivor is literally one step away from you, and you can't do anything.

It's just absurd.

that is old safe spot, you have to follow survivor and drop down. hawkin is 1:1 copy of what it was many years ago. the loops on hawkin are not as bad people say they were for survivor. in fact a lot of them are really strong. that spot right there is great example.

Hawkins got several unfair aspects as killer.

1) 3rd floor (where interrogation rooms are), rift lab generators are very safe unless killer is Nurse or stealth killer. The capsule you showed and 2nd floor generators in long rectangle room are same context.

2) Very numerous pallets. 3~5 pallets are very weak but Hawkins has more than 20 pallets. Not all pallets are safe but hallway pallets are decent if you pre-drop and run long. And some long rectangle rooms got very powerful pallets.

3) Room entrance/exits. It is very noticeable when you try to get inside the room but doors are blocked. This is also annoying as survivor. Very hard to patrol and might take time to start chases because entrance/exits are very unapparent.

The map's balance is around 2019 and that's probably why it feels terrible.

Personally I hate Hawkins more than Gideon as killer.
