Has the team at behavior considered accommodations for neruodiversity?

I have ADHD and autism, because of the former I have a hard time remembering what all of the different perks and symbols mean. I would find it beneficial to add an accessibility option to have a short phrase or comma dilimmetted list showing the key words of what the symbols effect does. For example if you had the hindered symbol it could say something like "movement slowed" in a tiny font under ther symbol.

Everyday that I play I inevitably end up frustrated and swap games because I feel like I wasn't given a fair go at escaping or getting a survivor. It makes the game incredibly difficult to build skill at in the upper ranks. I will admit that the symbols getting added to the game made a huge difference in making this game feel accessible in the first place, and while I atleast know the names of what I'm under the effect of I can't always remember what that effect does.

A quality of life enhancements I thought of for my neruodivergence, that I thought could also accommodate others, is the ability to see what perks a survivor I'm spectating has. I frequently have no idea what other survivors perks do and have to bounce back and forth from spectating to the end screen to hover over their perk and read it and then go back and spectate. If I could know what they are playing with while I'm watching I could stay invested in the action. Whether that's a cursor and hover pop-up or pressing the corresponding direction on the d-pad or wasd I would enjoy it greatly. I mean having a huge library of perks to play with is a ton of fun but I could never remember what they all do.

If a symbol isn't easily referenced to associated words, then it's not a good symbol, perhaps try to argue on ways that the symbol could be improved?

What about the Hindered symbol prevents easy reference to Slow Movement for you?

I highly doubt many people remember what all Perks do. Being able to read them at the end of match screen is already a decent solution, I don't see the improvement of the spectator screen as very high priority.

I don't see spectator updates as high priority either but with my disability it doesn't matter what the symbol is as it can only communicate so much. Good design is key for sure. But hindered was simply an example that was easy to come up with a phrase for.

So being a software engineer I know business analysts will see reports like this, if their reporting system works, so when a bug inevitably affects the spectator screen this could be an excellent addition when updates are made.

Besides with it being toggleable it won't clutter up the screens for the majority who don't need it. But the extra clutter, or bad design elements, can be incredibly useful when someone's nuerotype processes mass amounts of information quickly but can't store alot of reference information.

That's why I don't think just updating the logo would help because I still have 30+ perks to memorize and 10+ status effects for refernceable on screen info and then I need to keep a general reference of each killers ability and a basic knowledge of each killers add-ons if I want any chance at higher level competitive play.

I think a nice thing for ND and new players would be to show what the effects in play mean when you go on the screen that shows players names & ping + offerings.

As a new player I actually tried to check them that way to no avail, so I always thought it would be a good addition.

In all honesty I don't think that not being able to remember 30+ Perk Icons and their effects, all status effects and their symbols, Killer Powers, and their addons at a glance is neurodivergent... wanting too probably is. People don't usually get that invested with games and even then that will take a long time.

I'm not against the idea of a better Perk/effect identification, but I wouldn't call you disabled for not being able to quickly memorize everything in a game.

    So

I mean ... I'm not saying I'm disabled for not being able to do that. I'm saying I have a development disability that prevents me from accessing the same amount of RAM as other people by an order of magnitude. There's no shame in that for me. For instance I will also often, like everytime I do a build, remember what a perk does only by picture and have to search the sea of perks playing a seek and find. ... but not much to do about that just kind of is what it is you know :P. /light hearted

I should mention that I have been playing the game on and off since launch. It's not an expectation to learn those things quickly, it's an inability to recall that much information at once. /genuine

I think since you have a disability and adding assistance to the game for you would help you play it on a more natural level to that of another player then yes, this should definitely be added in some sort of external option being added into the settings menu. I'm sure others who have similar issues would also be thankful to you for posting this suggestion and also to the team who decides to say yes for this feature to be implemented. :)
