Do you actually enjoy playing against bots?

For testing its like ptb its great, since its really hard finding lobbys there as the killer (i did not find a single public lobby in ptb for killer btw)

But if for example someone dcs midgame and gets replaced by a bot its just really annoying tbh.

Simply because you can absolutly tell how they cheat and they dont even hide it. i bet you all seen clips where they just insta auto aim you into almost perma blinds and how they always know where the hatch is but they also got completly disgusting wallhacks which makes it really hard to catch up to them, especially if you try to mindgame them.

On the other hand they also can be completly trash and miss every skill check or will just sit there watching their mates repair the gens.

I am not saying we should remove them again there, i was just wondering how others feel like playing against them/with them

Bots are great for PTB and custom games, but that's the extent of it.

As killer they're annoying to face because you literally can't mindgame them and they hold W the second they hear the TR.

As survivor they're also a pain because they keep missing skillchecks and bringing the killer to you. They also don't unhook or pick up down teammates because they're too scared of the TR and will not come anywhere close to it.

They always know exactly where the killer is. Which makes stealth killers useless.

You can't really get a sense of how good a killer is on PTB with bots due to them using wall hacks. Stealth killers or perks that cause survivors to lose certain functions like TR or red stain etc are pointless.

Good for testing out abilities I guess but doesn't really give you a sense of how weak/strong certain killers or perks are.

Never really play against Bots. The only time I start a game with Bots is when I want to try something out (e.g. when they changed that blocked Gens can regress, I had to load in a friend and a few Bots). Or when I test out a new Killer-Power. You cannot really test it against Bots, but you can at least try a bit around how it works.

And of course if a new Map is introduced, I like to look at it during a Bot-Match.

But other than that...Nope. I dont see any point in playing against Bots, not even for actually learning how to play a Killer.

Kind of? I mostly use bots as a practice round to get going for the day, I'll play one or two bot games to get my mojo flowing. That being said, bots can be annoying at times. Sure, they're kind of dumb and you can beat the bots pretty easily, but they can see you through walls and will hold W as soon as they hear your terror radius.

But there are some benefits to bots, you can turn your brain off with them, test a killer you haven't played, get used to some of the mechanics, and you don't have to deal with toxicity. But I think them not being real people holds them back, nothing can simulate the experience of playing with another human, it's kind of impossible. So I'd say, sometimes, yes, other time's, no.

Not as Chucky because they have wallhack on you when you chase them, making mind games and outplays Impossible to do.

Idk, people say the bots use wallhacks but imo many survivor players I get matched against have way better ‚prediction‘ of what I am doing than these bots through solid walls 🤔

I love playing custom games against bots. They've made them a little smarter and it's good practice for new killers. I also like doing it because it's a fun and relaxing experience. For Halloween I played all cornfield and Haddonfield, and Springwood maps. Last year for Christmas it was Ormond and I used the Krampus or clown Santa skins.

If or when the day comes and they make killer bots available like the old mobile game, I may not use live servers again. I like playing games for fun, it anyone can believe that.

Bots aren't good for anything other than getting a feel for a killer's power. Bots cheat and react way too reliably against most powers, making the best strategy against them is to M1 chase them since they often get themselves stuck in bad spots that a human player would never do.

Playing AGAINST them is boring more than anything else. They are predictable and easy to beat. The biggest issue from a survivor POV is how they refuse to rescue you. If the gates are powered then they aren't going to make any attempt to save you like most human players would. They will just leave. They also melt down when a terror radius is nearby. I had a bot going for a save awhile back. It literally ran RIGHT PAST ME and I went to stage two. This was because the terror radius showed up right as they were about to unhook. The killer was far enough away that the bot wasn't even at risk of being hit. They need a lot of work.

    👆🏽Agree

All of this has been my bot experience.

They’re useless when you have to play w them, and they’ve been zero threat against me when playing Killer.

They die like any other survivor dies, so yeah I don't mind em.

Sometimes it can be fun to just log into a custom and kill a bunch of fleeing bots.

As for the live game they are a bit of a mixed bag when replacing a player. I play a lot of jumpscare Myers so the bots can be tedious, not hard just tedious.

As for survivor I don't expect them to do anything except progress some gens while not fleeing and they do that well enough.
