Killer doesnt feel rewarding anymore...

Like, I came back after some months i couldnt play...

I got rusted, I missed hits/special attacks etc.

But holy dang....

No matter what you do, which killer which perks/addons, no matter how good you play, there isnt a feeling of getting rewarded if you are playing good. You chase survs, drop chases you cannot win, patrol gens, punish their mistakes...

Gens are popping left and right, even with corrupt and deadlock...

You are popping and scourging gens, 30 sec later, gen is done.

You hit them with sloppy, drop their items, wait for pickups Under pallets, tunnel the weakest link out...

Still there is a safe pallet up somewhere, still there is a double windowed tile, still there is an Unbreakable/adrenaline/dead hard/etc.

You cannot bloodlust as they walk, crouch, break los or pallet vacuum you into oblivion...

And even if you manage to get downs and hooks, you cannot defend your objective as it gets a free unhook plus endurance plus speed. Even in endgame, if one healthy surv comes to unhook you cannot do sht as autoaim thinks you want to hit the surv on the hook...

Survs fuckup and dont get punished, you get pallet stunned or fl blinded once, it seems like you can already quit the match.

If survivors arent complete potatoes, there is no feeling of accomplishment when playing killer.

Regardless of what you do, survs always seem to have the upper hand while not even havin to think a bit due to every info getting handed and noted for them...

will post if I start streaming again.

im always up for advice and usually review my own games but I kind of really lost my breath of playing killer atm.

had 3 games back to back tonight with 4 gens poppin in under 5 minutes (stopped the time) while the one surv I was chasing was just running and predropping almost every pallet...

Its not that losing against good survs is bothering me.

If youre better than I am, you should win shouldnt you?

This is not about winning or losing in general...

Its more like youre sitting in a sinking boat with multiple holes and as soon as you manage to seal one, three others pop open.

Doesnt matter how fast you are or how tight they are sealed, you are still sinking...

I know, i mean, there were SIGNIFICANTLY more holes in this boat. If u played this game 3 years ago as killer, you didn't stand a chance at all against good survivors. Now you have some chances.

Only if multiple survivors repeatedly ######### up in a tremendous way.

Thats what I said. Killers mistakes can easily decide your game while survs can missplay multiple times and still escape bcs there are built in mechanics that iron out a lot of their mistakes.

E.g: basekit bt + haste, no hook grabs, anti camp, safe pallets, tile spawns on maps, infinites on maps, pallet vacuum, hitboxes on projectiles, HUD, visual TR, etc.

You really have to explain how the HUD, Projectile-Hitboxes (which are usually more generous than anything else) or the visual Terror Radius help to Iron Out mistakes.

Removal of Hook Grabs and Anti-Camp are also good things to be added. Because camping was too rewarding. To get a safe Unhook and no Trade, you would need two Survivors for the Unhook. This is having 3 Survivors not on Gens by just standing there (aka minimal effort). Let alone that most of the time blatant facecamping would just get 2 Kills, because it is impossible to complete 5 Gens in 2 minutes (especially after they increased the Gentime AND since a Perk like Deadlock exists).

And when it comes ot Basekit-BT... It was always bad that you had to rely on another person to have a specific Perk. No control at all about this as the Survivor on the Hook.

When it comes to Killer mistakes vs. Survivor mistakes - this is just wrong. I have seen Killers who played very badly at the start and still got a decent result. E.g. a Dredge I went against lost 3 Gens during their first Chase. Yet they got a 2K in the end with 10 Hooks. Which is a very good game. I also have missplayed really hard sometimes and still got a good result. And I have also seen Survivors misplay and throw the whole match.

Like missing a Skill Check and because of this the last Gen did not get completed, was hit by Pain Resonance and suddenly the Killer had a comeback.

(But I want to mention that it also depends on the Killer when the Survivors make mistakes... Obviously how good the Killer player is (if they misplay a lot themselves, the Survivors will get away with more and vice-versa of course) AND how strong the character is they are playing. E.g. mistakes against a Clown can be a problem if the Survivor goes down next to a Gen which gets hit with Jolt, then hit with Pain Res and then with PGTW afterwards... A mistake against a Nurse can be a problem if she sees your Scratchmarks)

Survivors can make more mistakes it's 4vs1 but bad mistakes from them can cost them entire game as well. For me both sides are like that expect survivor is rewarding when you win. It's now killers hard tunneling/camping when im survivor and they win many gens remaining that is not balanced. When I play killer I get nothing but sweaty swf:s who loop perfectly likw they're not even human.

    Does it necessary though?

I remember many killers point out every little mistakes Knightlight team against 50m Skullmerchant match. Like they were a newbie team.

It’s pretty clear you would simply tear it apart with the intent of concluding it’s a skill issue to back up your already established conclusion that Killer is fine.

Wouldn’t mind seeing some of yours though.

Thanks but 2 issues. I asked for gameplay footage and from someone other than you.

Someone seems to be holding a grudge for something ~

First: any recommendations for recording programs as we (more accurately I) now upgraded and probably CAN record now.

Second: A LOT of the time when gens pop like that when we play, it happens because WE PLAYED BAD. When survivors screw up they tend to die fast, when we screw up they tend to escape. Not rocket science right?

Third: We see a lot of ppl moaning about things such as this yet no one shows. All talk, which is fair enough to call us out on but double standards are being applied here. Ask for theirs too so we can ALL see. If it's genuinely skill we'll call it, if it's something they could do better we'll suggest, if we're wrong we'll admit as such. Don't assume you know what our conclusions are when WE don't even know. (And there's 3 of us to boot)

    4th:

This doesn't mean ANYTHING at all? Really?

And 5th: You yourself seem to have a established conclusion of killer is horrible right now. Are we wrong?

If you are unwilling to show your gameplay, why should anyone else? You don’t believe OP’s experience without evidence. We are just supposed to take you at your word but not OP?

Your intent seems clear. If OP posts gameplay, I have little doubt you will dissect their gameplay and put the blame on them.

Yes. I do think Killer is awful now. You think it is fine, as do most people here.

Don’t think I have any grudges on these forums. Not remotely worth it.

1: if you were talking about us wanting to see gameplay of these super fast gens, it was a general statement, not specifically op.

2: at the moment our word is worth ad much as OP. Neither of us have posted evidence.

3: Our intent was wanting to see this gameplay. Whether or not we dissect it depends on how bored we are at the time and what we see determines who gets the "blame".

You seem to want to reach for assumptions at us so let us be very clear. You know NOTHING about us. Wait until we do something to warrant assumptions as this is just rude to us. We have no malicious intent to the OP.

4: Since you're conclusion is established, then WE'RE going to assume nothing is going to change your mind. Are we wrong?

5: you didn't even acknowledge C3Tooths results. Or give any recommendations for recording. Admittedly this point is Abit out of spite.

I get where you are coming from.

But you may want to consider that it isn't a gameplay issue.

Killer is generally in a stronger place than they've been for a while not all would agree with me and there are some things that still kinda suck. Yeah there are some ups and downs but generally things have gotten better for both sides.

Smaller maps, cleaner loops, removal of some broken survivor perk combos. While survivors have reduced non-participation, more in built tools to ensure longer time in game if targeted etc. I'm not a fan of all changes but you can't deny that at least mechanically, they are generally good things overall. (Though some a kinda ######### thematically)

I'm afraid the feeling of lack of reward could be you are just done with DBD as killer for the time being.

I mean regardless of how things change mechanically, while its still up to the developer to provide a fun and engaging experience, its also up to the player to find the fun.

So, playing against potatoes gives you a feeling of accomplishment? Why? That's like celebrating winning a race, after your only opponent fell off a bridge and drowned two minutes after the race started.

Sorry, but the last bit just sounds like salty, gamer rage. You only lose cos your opponents get free wins without having to use their brains, and you have to be at peak performance otherwise you can't even put a dent in the opponent. This sentiment has been said many times. But if you are going to list every potential problem a killer could face in a match, whilst ignoring any problems that survivors face, whilst also generalizing that survivors can play badly and not get punished for it, then I'm not going to take your objective take on game balancing seriously.
