Mechanic to not get the same Killer twice in a row
Can we please get a mechanic that prevents to get the same Killer twice in a row?
There is already a decreased chance to get the same map twice in a row, so why don't we just do that for Killers too?
I'm so tired of facing Blight 4 of 5 matches. This would lead to more variation.

The difference is that the system which prevents the same Map is not increasing queue times. A system which would avoid the same Killer in the row would do this. At the very least it can happen for Chapter Releases (since many players are playing the new Characters) or maybe even for Tomes.
But I also think the same would happen in regular games without any other instances which would prolong the queuetimes.

Yeah but I really wouldn't care if I had to wait 20 seconds longer to get a greater variation of Killers.
Facing the same Killer over and over again is just boring.

I got destroyed by a SWF as Trapper with brown addon. Next match Im matched against them again, I only needed to replace an addon with Honing stone and destroyed them back.
It was beautiful.

Maps aren't people playing the game and there's the same chance of getting each one, while killers aren't played at the same frequency at all so the system wouldn't work.
Not having the same killer twice in a row would mean possibly 4 killers banned per lobby, it would lead to longer queues for everyone, especially killers who happen to play popular killers, or the killer featuring in the current tome for example.

I mean, while you would have to wait 20 seconds, it might be possible that Killer players have to wait even more.
E.g. in a Lobby there can be up to 4 Killers the Survivors cannot face. This will already prolong it. But on the other hand, a Killer who is popular to play can have up to 4 Lobbies they cannot join because in each of them is a Survivor who faced the same Killer earlier. And if I look at a Killer like Wesker, who is played a lot, they might have really long queue times.

With Chucky there are a total of 34 different Killers in the game. It really shouldn't be a problem to skip 4 Killers out of 34 Killers in Matchmaking. And if this is a problem maybe Devs should change something about the Strength or unfun aspects of certain Killers to decrease/increase their popularity.

No.
If I see Singu or Twins I still want to have that 0.0001% chance I will get them next game as well.

Thats exactly what needs to happen. Devs need to make more killers attractive and our community needs to stop the "nerf the new killer" threads.
Otherwise we will always be stuck with the same 3 meta killers.
Also, anyone noticed how some survivors complain about boring killers, when someone plays something different than the meta killers? That isn´t exactly motivating to play a different killer.

The difference between maps and Killers? One is an computer created arena and the other is actual human being who is playing game for their enjoyment, not yours.
This post perfectly demonstrates the depersonalization of Killer players, considered a game feature to make Survivors happy. Dance clown, dance.

I think a mechanic like this would make the wonky matchmaking even worse...

I play both sides nearly 50/50 so I have no clue what you are talking about.
How does it make your Killer experience worse when you play against 4 Survivors who haven't played against THIS EXACT KILLERS previous match? It could even make Killer experience better/easier since the Survivors won't be trained to play against that exact Killer that often.

Say you're playing Blight, a bunch of people have already gone against him, so there's less people to match you with.
To prevent long matchmaking the game widens MMR restrictions, basically it prioritizes speed over quality, so your matchmaking will be a bit longer and much worst.

While yes I completely agree with buffing weaker killers and tweaking clunky killers, no matter what BHVR do there will always be a handful of much more popular killers and a handful of much less popular killers.
You shouldn't punish people for wanting to play something that happens to be popular. And people would get noticeably-longer queue times if they want to play popular killers, for very little pay-off of slightly more interested survivors.
Plus, no matter what survivors say, more Hags, Tricksters and Twins would only be complained about.

I'd love this since yesterday i got 5 blights and 2 nurses in 2 and half hours i played the game. Today i played 2 hours i got 3 blights 1 nurse and 2 onis.
Anything to help me out of this blight and nurse hell i am in.

I would welcome the ‘less chance of a killer twice in a row’ but they could just make it to where you have a certain percentage less each time in a row so you definitely don’t get wesker or blight 3 or 4 times in a row
1 -
Because it ignores the Killer player’s experience and preference for what they want to play. What experience are you envisioning for Killers? Longer queues for Wesker, instant for Trapper?
4 -
While I disagree with the concept, people are already picking their killer to play against by giving up instantly. There's alot of ppl who will just refuse to play a match once they see a killer they don't like.

And this type of behavior should be punished.
2 -
Oh that's simple:
Just don't be awesomely good at this game. Once you get into that mythical high MMR area there's only Blights and Nurses waiting for ya.

After 3500 hours...i think im cursed to be here. I'm trying to die and i do die ( blights have nasty habit of tunneling 1 person out at 5 gens) but how much do i have to die to these blights to get back to my cozy place.. i miss ghostfaces.. i havent seen 1 since... it's been so long i can't even remember.

Unfortunately I doubt the system is advanced enough to detect the difference between throwing and poor skill mixed with poor luck. I'd love if people doing that got the same treatment as a DC penalty, but I don't think it's likely.

Its the problem with having few killers that actually reward the killer players skill, they get saturated, like there is absolutelly no point in playing trapper when blight and nurse exist, hell even if they did not exist, wesker does.

The problem is what we are stuck with now, Anti camp feature has removed a lot of variety overall. At least you'll get variety next chapter, you'll see a lot more Chucky and Trickster, fun is subjective. But at least you might not see as many blights.

Probably will never happen, it will increase queue times a lot, you may say ''I don't care waiting a few more minutes'' but It's not like they are going to implement a whole new system just for a few people, majority of players will probably be against it as well...
