Survivor is no longer fun anymore

firstly I like to start I’ve always loved DBD from the very beginning, near enough when it first came out. It’s been a blast to see so many new Killers and survivors come out during my journey deeper into the fog. Unfortunately now, I don’t see much point playing survivor anymore. Not only do my games involve unfair killers, but knowing that the majority of perks that were commonly used are now nerfed excessively. I feel that the developers only care about the killers, not the survivors. Don’t get me wrong. I do play both killer and survivor. After all, 100% more blood points on either category. It’s a shame that I don’t enjoy survivor anymore

How are the perks that were most commonly used nerfed? Sprint Burst, Resilience, Unbreakable and BT for example are still there, which used to be a pretty common build, I would not say that survivor perks got gutted more than killer perks or anything in that direction and most old perks are still rather solid, they just get overshadowed by newer ones.

  • You have full right to feel this way, though don't let it cloud your objective judgement on the game. That can lead you down a dark path.

  • What perks do you run? I think that the build you have can definitely change your reception on the game.

Also Killer gen regression perks are nerfed to hell high, something killers need to do. Pop, Pain Res, Ruin, Overcharge, COB.

While MFT took longer than it should be to be nerfed, and rewarded survivors for playing badly (getting injured).

OP post needs more information for why he does not enjoy playing survivor. the post mentions that one of reasons is perks but OP should specify what perks he enjoyed using and if any perks could be changed to improve satisfaction of playing survivor.

I agree with the title but only cause survivor keeps getting easier. All the free info takes away from gameplay I used to immerse myself.

You're entitled to your feelings on the matter. Hopefully you find something you enjoy.

Maybe you've finally realised you've seen all this game has to offer. ^^

This is why I'm always getting new players in my lobbies.

After the honeymoon period it's basically stay for the competitive aspect or leave.

Lots of solo survivors can't get a respectable win rate anymore so just bail. Which is fair.

This is why I will do my best, expect the same from the survivors and if they put up a good fight I'll usually let them escape.

Love how half the replies go "well, that's your opinion even if you're wrong😤", probably from people who can't spend a day without whining about getting 3k's instead of 4k's. Interesting

That's totally nonsense. There are still many valid perks for survivors like WoO, resilience, deja vu, SB, lithe, OTR, etc... I thought everybody knows that devs don't favor specific role.

"Hey don't worry, there are still so many valid and fun perks to use like uhm....these 5 yo perks everyone uses already"

Meanwhile, killers only need to hit a gen/open a locker to get free aura reading.

So you are talking about dredge perk? Because UW doesn't give aura reading...

As for the perks there are probably around 20-25 that can be considered really good perks, sure some of them are newer, but it is not like they are all bad.

Yes I am talking about this perk, you're very perceptive. Give me a "really good" survivor build that consists in at least 2 perks released this year.

Who cares when they got released? Just because not every perk is meta does not mean it is all terrible stuff. Also why would you need 2 perks? They can still have great synergies with other stuff just not with each other?

Also for the in this year I'm going to take the last 4 chapters, so SM, Singularity, Xenomorph and Knight. And out of the perks we got there for survivors you can go for a build with Backgroundplayer for Flashlight saves, the perk is really strong with the 200% ms buff.

You can use Cut Loose together with Quick and Quiet to get some good value in chases, with vaulting silent two times in a row.

You can use Plot Twist together power struggle and others to go down under pallets and make it basically impossible to be picked up, and by itself the perk is also quiet nice.

Fogwise together with Stake out and Hyper Focus is a nice combination to get info while slamming gens. Potential energy is alright for 3 gens, same with deja vu, but it is not a super strong perk I would say.

Made for this was completely busted and probably one of if not the strongest perk in the game, you can slap it on everything and the build is good.

So we have like 5-6 good or at least I would consider them pretty decent, perk in the last 12 months. I don't really see why they would need to have synergy with other perks that came out in the same time? So why exactly should that be a condition for those perks being good/alright?
