You can still report cheaters who are using anon mode. All anon mode does is help prevent people from stalking a person by having access to their profile and username.

Anonymous mode doesn't make you invincible to bans.

I've been noticing a lot of survivor teammates who play in anonymous streamer mode end up kinda being like the biggest trolls ever, I never really thought reporting would work, I kinda just shrug it off but kinda confused as why these people feel the need to go against the grain and try to ruin someone's day.
DBD community can be quite a beautiful thing, no?

but that takes time and one day i played with the same hacker 3 times

BHVR's reporting system certainly could use a lot of work, but if you aren't reporting people you can't really be surprised if nothing happens to them.

How does it protect cheaters? You can report them just the same. BHVR doesn't require things like Steam IDs.
Cheaters can change their name just as fast. How do you deal with cheaters not on Steam?

Anonymous mode is great and I love that it helps keeps jerks from spamming me with garbage because they’re salty that I beat them.

no

The player's name is not required when you create the ticket, so anonymous mode doesn't protect people from being reported and banned. Anonymous mode protects console players from harassment.

Those of us on Xbox cannot even use the Anonymous Mode

No it dosnt protect cheaters, it does however protect us. As a former killer main i always play with this on. Some people would go at great lengths to harass you after a lost game.

I use it on the odd occasion. Usually when I get frustrated and have to play in a way that is unusual for me lol like doing that Feng escape challenge in the current tome. I wasn't having any luck so after like 10 games I just put on a full stealth build, went anonymous, and got the challenge done first try. I didn't want my team mates to think that's how I usually play and dodge me in future 🤣

Can you explain why i am the worst scum of players? I am not a cheater, so i have to fall into the second category.
I use anonymous mode because in this game, because i know what can happen if you dont: I used to have a complete online-persona, which means i used the same name in all my games, all my message boards, and so on. And after one match one player not only send insults and threats, they registerd on some of my message boards and stalked me there, sending me hate comments until they got banned there.
Anonymous mode protects me from this kind of stalking (although i did change my online persona and now use different names for each game or board i use), but why does that make me scum of players? please explain that to me.

Anonymous Mode sohuld be only for confirmed streamers in my opinion. I could dodge suspect lobbies back in the days. Now it's impossible and it's waste of time playing against a cheater. Also many players use Anonymous Mode to be incognito and say bad words for everyone in every situation - it's just annoying.

I'm a simple man. I enjoy seeing the name of the character I am playing in place of my online ID.

It offers no protection for cheaters.
It helps avoiding harassment.
This mode is great.

Anonymous Mode hides people from the actions of others, not the consequences of their own. If they do something against the rules, they can still be reported.

I do laugh when people in the end game chat call me a coward for using anonymous mode. Hey buddy, unless your driver’s license says “xX-WeedBro42069-Xx,” we’re both anonymous.

It protect survivor trolls and coward killers who want to tunnel at 5gens or let the whole team bleed out.

Tunnelling isn't something you can be reported for, neither is slugging. If they were reportable, that's fine because Anonymous Mode doesn't disable your ability to do that. This begs the question: what are they being protected from? I think we both know the answer.
