Pain resonance + solo Q teammates = 100% lose
It is impossible to repair a generator without a teammate going down, in a solo q team the teammates go in 2 sec down before the first generator is repaired. The perk is overpowered, on killers like Nurse, Spirit, Blight. If you're going to nerf MFT, then you should nerf pain resonance in return. In 60% of the matches its 5 hooks before the first gen is finished

How about you tag team with your teammate? I mean, you are the one who run the killer and your teammate doing gen?

No.

So a perk is strong when your team is bad thefore the perk needs to be nerfed? There are arguments in favor of nerfing pain res, but that one is not a valid one if that were the case then we need to nerf pig as she is incredibly effective against bad players.

Is it the Pain Resonance or the "bad teammates"?
Would, or even should, you win with bad teammates regardless of the perks being run by the killer?
13 -
I'm sorry that bad teams lose games. I thought this is how balance works.
3 -
You cant nerf killer perks to compensate bad survivor gameplay.
6 -
Dont pin your perk issues on solo players, we're not scape goats to cover for a teams failure to perform.

No amount of perk nerfs will help you if the killer gets five hooks before the first gen is finished. Welcome to soloQ.

Pain Res is fine. The only "annoying" thing is that you need to keep track of who has been hooked on a SH already. If your teammates can't do that it's not the killer's fault or a reason to nerf it.

I don't think Pain Res is fine. It feels awful to see large chunks of your gen progress disappear in a manner that you can do absolutely nothing about. Even worse when the killer's other three slowdowns kick in.
I would prefer that it simply blocked the gen for 30 seconds, similar to Deadlock. Technically this would be a buff since 30 seconds is longer than it would take to re-repair the missing 25% progress, but survivors wouldn't have to endure the psychological impact of such massive gen regression. That way you can leave the gen and maybe do a totem, a chest, go and take the chase, maybe get a flashlight save. But as it is, it is even more imperative that you just sit mindlessly holding M1 for even longer.
It's not so bad when it's occasional, but Pain Res is in every single match and it's really making the game a miserable experience, especially since the matchmaking pits 200 hour teammates against 5000 hour Blights and Nurses.
Gen blocking perks are much healthier for the game than gen regression perks.

I see pain rez, pop combo too often.
I dnt knw why devs nerf good perks then add just as busted ones to only nerf later.
1 -
Yeah but these bad Survivors are the one buying Feng's 46th new cosmetic so BHVR has to listen to them.

Pain Res is essentially trading a perk for a 6th gen. That is typically a fine tradeoff, but I'd say on stronger Killers it might burn Survivor resources too fast if they aren't hyper efficient. That is more a problem with the stronger Killers being too strong in comparison to the mean, and Survivor tomes causing losses though, not Pain Res in and of itself. Nerf Blight (and the likes), and remove throw tomes, and it'd be fine. It isn't like a Demo is oppressive with 6 gens.
1 -
The reason why you see that combo a lot is because other gen regression perks are dead.
2 -
SoloQ is an automatic loss already so doesn't matter if the killer has pain resonance or no perks 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

This is actually true though. People who are the loudest and pay the loudest wins

My only problem with it you can hard tunnel someone and still get your 3 pain res stacks in 3v1, then it feels impossible to comeback, i would make it like hex: ruin it deactivate after first kill

I mean, if the meta didn't REQUIRE a killer to take 3-4 slowdown perks to not lose 3 gens in the first chase, it wouldn't be as big of a deal if they nerfed them.
3 -
The only reason I don't like the perk is for variety sake, but of course this is what happens when you nerf almost anything killer wise to the ground. Survivors have this amazing variety perks, it truly is a great thing that the devs have done for them. But for the killers..... OMG theres not really anything to pick and it has only gotten worse with the anti camp feature. SO survivors maybe be fair and let the devs buff killer a little so we can have some variety.

I hear ya loud and clear, too much gen regression on a single activation. Let's take it back to the way it used to be - only 15% per hook instead of 25, but no limit on how many times it can be activated.

No, it's just solo queue. It feels like a combo of both because pretty much every killer runs Pain Res. But it's just the standard solo experience.
1 -
You realize that if you could "repair a generator without a teammate going down" the killer would get 2 hooks and then the game would be over?
2 -
Pain Res can only be used 4 times, I hate dealing with Pain res but no it doesn't need a nerf.
1 -
Killers are suppose to run a Survivor for 1 gen a pop so they get their five hooks (All evenly of course, we can't have Killers killing now.)

I don't find Pain Res much of a problem in my solo queue games.

I love that for some lesser players, "solo q" is the boogeyman they blame for their equally poor tactical decision making.

"It is impossible to repair a generator without a teammate going down". I think this answer your point: its not the perk, but teammates. The perk is fine as it is, specially since it punishes tunneling killers.

It's only activating a whopping 4 times in a match at most. It's fine as a perk, it's just solo queue and SBMM being the main issue, as in everything else in this game.

Nerfing the perk can’t save your team if your team mate goes down in 10 seconds.

According to nightlight.gg Pain Resonance is the most used killer perk #1. So if we go by Bhvr mentality it should be nerfed (again), just like dead hard was nerfed again and MFT.
1 -
What do you think about the fact that it has already been weakened and turned into a perk where you have to press Ready while praying that the hook generation at the start of the match is not biased or that you are not matched with a group of saboteurs?

Mft was needed because it was toxic to the game and forced killers to a chase that takes much longer, sacrificing Gen pressure and losing the obj, or forcing Gen pressure and allowing for an easy reset

laughs in basekit bloodlust

I mean bad killers win all the time vs soloq cause its much easier to camp, tunnel and slug than it is to loop for multiple gens and not be tricked by false logic that thinking gen stacking is the most efficient way.

If bloodlust is kicking, you've spent too long on the chase and are losing all gen pressure. Gg, you lost because you chased this guy for 3mins

It kicks in 15 sec and tier 3 is reached in 35 seconds, 3minutes lol ok guy
