Why can't Knight have a Great Hammer?
I'm saddened by the lack of weapon variety that Knight has. He has nothing but claymores. Why doesn't Knight have a weapon arsenal? Images below are an example of what I mean by 'Great Hammer'.

My guesses are:
- Weapon animations: You can't reuse the same weapon animations as you do with his claymore. A mace like that is a whole different beast.
- Weapon model: A claymore is less clutter on your screen. Imagine a giant mace blocking your view. There is a solution for that though so it's possible.
- Weapon textures.
I do like the idea though. He really should have different weapons to choose from but it's up to Behaviour if they want to do it or not.

Yeah, that needs customized too. It would probably be very brutal.

It could be done! Skull Merchant has weapons with unique sound effects & animations. And now that the Naughty Bear skin for Trapper is in the game unique mori's are possible too.
A special skin for Knight that gives him a mace and changes his mori to have him and his guards hold the survivor by their arms as Knight violently beats the survivor to death would be very cool!

They should give him a chain sword like a space marine from Warhammer 40k.

I can see them making another special skin like Naughty Bear for Knight with different weapons. Would be worth the money.

Sarcastic answer: Because greatswords are cool.
Real answer: Modelling and animation issues as specified above. They'd probably put the effort into alternate modelling and weapon wipes if more than 5 people played Knight, but as of right now it probably wouldn't be profitable enough for them.
