How you would feel if DS & Ruin buffed?
Ruin will back to 200% regression and it won't deactive after one survivor died.
DS will back to 5 seconds stun and it will work after both hooks. It will still deactive after all gens finished or conspicuous actions.
Would you take it?
I feel like it would be better for game's health. Ruin & Undying was fine combo. It gave reason to killers leave hooks and pressure on gens. And DS was nice protection for survivors whenever killers try to tunnel.

I would, yes. Ruin is a gamble anyway because, as someone else commented, you could get good usage or it could be destroyed right at the start, in which case that's the risk taken for bring such a stronger perk back in.
DS I would also be happy with, based on what you say. It would not just punish Killers for tunnelling, but reintroduce the idea that Killer's may have to consider all Survivors may have it, thereby reducing tunnelling. Deactivating it once the Exit Gates are powered is also the right call, since it will stop people from taking the piss out of it.
Basically, this will give a strong tool for Killers to slow the game down, whilst also protecting Survivors from rapid downs. This would mainly be a good thing.

The only possible scenario in which DS gets buffed to a 5s stun , requires that DS's offensive capabilities get *severely nerfed*.
It makes no sense for DS to work after you went out of your way to bodyblock for your rescuer (A conspicious action by dictionary definition : "standing out" "noticeable") , hence forcing the killer to chase you because the rescuer is on the other side of the map by now and then you hit them with a DS, even though you forced the chase on you.
It also makes no sense for the counter to DS (slugging) to be counterable via forcing a locker grab.
DS should legitimately only work on deliberate tunneling.

I loved 200% Ruin. I never tried DS because I believe it is dependent on hitting a 'Great' skill check and therefore turns me off from ever running it. I'll take Old Ruin.

What if the killer hits me off hook and it renders as a protection hit and DS deactivates?
just run make your choice if people bodyblock you on hook constantly

You can use ruin. You can create a build around it.
It's not horrible.

ruin + surveillance is a dead combo tho
back then it used to be a risky combo cause the totem might be cleansed way to early or it might never get cleansed giving you slowdown + info on which gens are being repaired and which aren’t but nowadays if one survivor dies
it’s pretty much 2 dead perk slots
atleast remove the totem self deactivating part

And how game will tell if you actually bodyblocked killer or killer just hit you off the hook? Or how game will tell when someone was bodyblocking for you but killer just succeeded to pass them and hit you. Both of hits are counts as protection hits, killer is tunnelling you but you lost DS for no reason.

Make DS stronger than before? KEKW, if only every killer will be Nurse level, then we can discuss it.
4 seconds stun is all this perk need. Even with 3 seconds this perk won two matches for survivors in my games this week. In one of them I didn't even try to tunnel, I was just bodyblocked with OTR+DS. Make DS works twice is such stupid suggestion as give to all killers Alc Ring addon.
Almost all hexes are just gambling, so you can buff Ruin even to 1000%, i won't use it anyway.

The DS buff would be ok if it comes with the caveat that you have no collision while its active. I don't like the idea of body blocks getting even stronger.

Surveillance is great with surge.
Ruin is ok. Not strong but ok. It's good on certain killers in certain builds.
I use it in combination with discordance on nemesis. Does the job.

Yeah but surge isn’t map wide range and (for me atleast) isn’t that viable with the info range it provides cause with ruin the gens were already regressing from the start and surveillance was like a mini lethal + discordance cause it told you where the survivors were at and which generator is being worked on without having to patrol the map and find it
that’s exactly what I liked about the old combo of ruin and surveillance

He means the survivor who just got off the hook bodyblocking while they have ds active, not the survivor who just saved the other survivor from the hook.
Make your choice wouldnt do anything.
Also make your choice you have to be pretty far from the hook to work and it only works with m1s i think, just not that good of a perk.

Yeah but it encourages you to go for the unhooker cause they are one shot instadownable

They can be really far away or at a safe loop/pallet where its not easy to down them if the person does a good job bodyblocking. Its not always that easy.
If theyre injured then make your choice doesnt do anything at all either.
You could also just have a fresh hook on another survivor instead of having a dead survivor or a survivor on death hook.

Its still good i feel. But not if you play an m2 oriented killer. Sure its not map wide, but its showing the gens you want to protect.
Why are you talking like it doesnt work like that anymore? Ruin surveillance still does what it was supposed to do? Did anything change?

a killer who’s mostly not viable with perks like pain res and PGTW which pretty much makes him rely on perks like deadlock, ruin or pretty much any gen slowdown that doesn’t require hooks and if I successfully get a kill…well there goes the ruin and the surveillance

You can use it. Nobody forces you to use anything. Especially on a killer like pH. I use rancor, huntress lullaby, lethal and I'm all ears on my pH. And it sometimes works incredibly well.
Use surveillance + ruin! Try it out! Do what you like, not what the meta tells you to use.

I wouldn't want ds buffed, I don't think it's good design that people have to rely on a perk to avoid getting tunneled out
+ a lot of time it was just psychological, killers wouldn't tunnel because "what if he has ds". Horrible concept
I'd rather see some structural change (yes, basekit buffs)

I've been facing multiple people bodyblocking with basekit BT + Decisive Strike just because they can.
If they buff decisive again, i wish they remove some of the offensive ways this perk can be used

I want ruin buffed to 150% and no longer be a hex with the same condition of disabling whenever a person dies / 1 gens remain (just in case it somehow becomes too op in 3gens).
as for DS, it should be 5 seconds, no reason for it to be 3 seconds with current limitations.

I do not think this would be a good idea. Ruin undying, penti and then something like deadlock would become hell on earth.
I think you could buff ruin to maybe something like 120-150% or keep the 200 but also keep the survivor died condition.
DS could go to maybe something like 4 seconds, I feel like the 5 could sometimes feel a little too long and the perk would become the most used perk again which would make things stale.

Instead of buffing ruin I'd rather them bring back old undying, I don't think it would be as bad if ruin is mediocre and seeing some undying/pentimento builds would diversify the meta a bit.
DS back to 5 seconds is probably fine atp and would probably be the final nail in the coffin for tunneling which would only be a good thing.

It doesnt matter how much you buff ruin, hex perks are really bad imo. You could make it 500% and I wouldnt bring it, I lose it so fast everytime. Id rather bring surge.

Dont buff ruin, its good in its current state, on the other hand, buffing DS would stop a bit the current tunnelling problem.
