Your Opinions on "Fake Friendly" Ghostface
So I'm sure we've all seen a Ghostface approach us and tea bag to let you know they just want to farm.
But, what do you think about the ones that fake the friendly tea bag just to kill everyone 🤣 ?
Do you think it's a fair strategy for a Ghostface who has no intention of farming and every intention of getting a 4K to do that?
Interested in everyone's opinions! Please discuss.

An other reason to stay clear from farming killers and just do gens and leave.
I find farming boring to begin with, but killers that pretend to farm only to kill everyone are pretty pathetic, especially if they were playing the game normally and started "farming" only because they were losing.

Well see idk how to handle it. I just go about my business repairing but Ghostface literally stands right behind you and can grab you at any time. Should I run? They just keep chasing you but not hurting you (unless they're faking).

I think stuff like pretending to be friendly as a killer only to use that to your advantage or to troll is just plain rude. Like killers that let the last survivor open the exit gate just to dash their hopes by downing and hooking them as soon as it has opened, or killers that drop survivor at hatch just to mori them before they can crawl through. Stuff like that just seems unnecessary

Run and loop the killer like you're not understanding they're farming (or pretending to). Either they'll leave you alone to farm with the other survivors or they'll chase you for real.
Unfortunately it's possible they and the survivors use you to farm points and kill you, but there's nothing you can do against a farming killer besides farming with them until they get bored or afk until they kill you (if they're not letting you do gens).

I 100% agree with all those examples you stated being unacceptable because those are obviously done to be nasty.
I don't know if the fake friendly is trolling, I never thought about it like that 🤔
I was just curious if you think in that specific scenario, with that specific killer who can send you the clearest "I'm Friendly" message, if that is just their way of getting the 4k as a strategy.

It's an increasing trend and I have been having more games like this. It used to be very few and far between but now its daily. They will be friendly even pull the gate and then go for the 4K. Or hit the gen down a survivor allow the heals, etc, then just hang everyone, I have even had them go AFK the entire match then have all end game perks. It is no fun. I just steer clear and leave at the opposite gate. Then some wonder why survivors don't engage in "friendly" matches anymore.

If you assume the motivation of your opponent and choose to get caught as a result you kinda deserve to get sacrificed.

Its this quote here that says it all, "the clearest I'm friendly message", there really is no established rule about crouching a couple of times as some kind of universal message that the killer has to be nice and let everyone go.
Its kinda like people who point at pig, they expect to be let go afterwards. If you crouch in front of the killer and do that then you are an easy target and gotta expect that its just as likely you'll get downed and hooked.
If players create some arbitrary idea around signals that mean its a "friendly" farm match then I say a killer who wants the 4k is welcome to exploit that to the fullest. Let the suckers be suckered, I'd consider that an effective mindgame.
