Decisive Light. Really?
Who at bhvr designed this challenge and thought this one could be done organically by a majority of the player base without leading to swaths of them throwing the game or wishing to uninstall out of pure frustration over it?
One blind while the killer is carrying a survivor is difficult enough for your average survivor player, but two? In a single trial? Seriously, whoever designs these challenges needs a reality check on how actual players play DbD.
I'm seriously considering to throw my games when I see a flashlight in the lobby and just let them farm this one, because this is ridiculous.

It is a difficult challenge as killers tend to face walls or object as thats the smart thing to do! In solo queue, trying to trail someone and get a flashlight save is very difficult as they don't get downed in very ideal spots.
I think using background player is the best bet, along with maybe empathy (or bond is you're close enough) to see where the chased survivor is to be able to flashlight save. But yeah it is difficult, I had that challenge equipped for a few or so games and only got 1 save.

It's a challenge. A challenge. It's in the final level of the tome and it's skippable. DBDers will complain about anything.
The whole point of the challenges is to try something you don't normally do.
Learning how to use a flashlight is a good thing and also makes the game more fun.

There's a difference between challenges that can be integrated more or less normally into the normal game flow and challenges that require you to go out of your way to achieve something, likely resulting in the sabotaging it. This challenge is the latter and I will indeed complain about that. This is not a question of knowing how to use the flashlight at all.

Yes, but a good killer is not going to let you get 2 saves in a match. Its a challenge which relies on the killer making a mistake.

So do it in the next match...

How are trying to get flashlight saves sabotaging the match? Would you prefer the challenges were all just spend an increasing amount of time playing DBD? You played DBD for 12 minutes, have a cookie! You played DBD for 26 minutes, have another cookie!
95% of the challenges take zero effort. Can't we have a few that are actually a challenge?

Wan't the easy route? It's toxic but tank your MMR and then go for flashlight saves... or, just play the game like usual and hope for the best. I did get like 30+ flashlight blinds in general last night and a few flashlight saves. It's definitely doable (and no I didn't tank my MMR I just got very lucky lol).

Given your answer, you're trolling. Literally the only explanation for why you feel the need to assume I want progression for just playing the game, which is absolutely ridiculous.
But giving the benefit of the doubt: what these challenges always lead to is survivors following the killer around all game long while they're chasing another survivor, desperately hoping to get blinds in. That is essentially the same as playing a 3v1, because that flashlight-survivor will not be progressing the main objective. So instead of there being 1 chased survivor and 3 repairing gens, there will be essentially 2 chased survivors and just 2 repairing gens. That will only get worse after the first survivor dies, because you can rest assured that when the killer notices a survivor constantly following them around with a flashlight, they will make sure not to pick up where they could be blinded.

I don't like playing baby killer roulette though...

I heard that you still get progress if you blind the killer while he's hooking someone. haven't tried it myself but you might give this a go as this would make it much easier to finish the challenge. if it doesn't then maybe try using flashbangs, they work even if the killer faces the wall, though i recommend using flashbang with light footed from ripley otherwise the killer will hear you come

Not good advice at all, what if you don't have anyone to patner up with? Just because you got it in "one game" doesn't mean everyone else will, and I am sure people are on VERY different mmr than you.

One of the most idiotic challenges and the worst part is that requires two (2) blinds in a single match. Let's say you missed or got 1 save, the killers after that getting paranoid and they're not picking until they're 100% sure.
Impossible challenge for the majority of players. Remove the part that requires it in a single match.

I love those people who are like, "It's supposed to be a challenge" as their only argument for how awful these challenges are.
It's one thing for a challenge to be challenging and difficult to pull off, which isn't the issue. The issue is that certain challenges like this actually screw over your teammates who aren't participating in your challenge.

My friend tried it in 50 matches (most of them Chucky) until he we got a nurse who let him do it. He was so frustrated over the last days and chat was not helping either. "Why are you so bad?" or "Why do you not do gens? You're worse than a Bot."
Even a lvl 4 challenge should not take more than 5 matches on survivor side. It is bad enough that killers can ruin your challenge by using Lightborn or looking at walls.
I also got it in 1 match because I have tons of experience. I can easily leave my comfort zone of perks I usually use but many people can't do that. My friend felt so uncomfortable without his usual perks as he likes to be stealthy. He needed about 50 matches to do this and he only got it because the killer let him.
If the challenges were activated all at once, so you could just play the game and then do it if the opportunity arises, it would be fine, but not like it currently is.

What game are you playing where trying to get flashlight saves is screwing over your teammates? Flashlight saves help your teammates. Learning how to do them will make you a better survivor, and you'll have more fun in the future.

The game where flashlight Survivors try to hang around teammates who are being chased instead of doing gens. That poor person is just looping the killer for nothing in those situations.

What is more upsetting that I completed this challenge.. I got the 1/2 and 2/2 notifications in game — two success flashlight saves in a single match — the match ends and the game says I didn’t complete it!

Relax. How else do you expect people to learn how to do it? That poor person has a chance to get saved when they go down.

I gave this one to so many Survivors. Everytime I see Flashlights in my lobby I try to go way easier on them and check if they swarm me when I pick someone up. If they do then please, feel free and have it! (Majority of those Survivors just wanted to be killed afterwards as a symbol of gratitude - a win for both sides)
Personally I still haven't finished it.. It's a real pain in your back end! :/

Well, it seems the challenge was replaced with "Back Off!" with 7.4.1
Whether that's due to the killswitch being active for flashlights or them realizing that it wasn't a good challenge to begin with is unclear, but the switch is much appreciated.
