Some MAP ideas
Hi guys,
I was thinking about some cool future things to add in DBD.
First of all, it would be awesome to have a lakehouse or campground map. (Cabin in the woods or Jason would be great as killer or franchise I think)
Or another great thing would be an abandoned fancy fair map. (Also something from Silent Hill 3 would be great for this)
What are your thoughts on these?

We need a Carnival/ Theme park. 100%
I'm not entirely sold on the horror aspects of Garden of Joy, abandoned buildings are not scary.

We kind of have a some of those things with the carneval on chapel and basically blood lodge as well as mothers dwelling, but sure it could be a little bit more on spot with those ideas. As long as the circus thing is not a claustrophic indoor map why not.

I love these ideas. A lake house would be the perfect feeling.

Garden of Joy is probably my favorite map aesthetically. It lacks the visceral horror of some of the other maps. For me personally the horror vibe I feel from Garden of Joy is this dreamlike surreal uncanny valley type of feeling. The feeling is almost like an exhale that makes you feel like wasting away and dizzy at the same time.
But I can totally see how people don’t feel a horror vibe from it.

Yeah, a small amount indeed. But a fully map around that would be cool I think. A completely abandoned themepark. Or circus village sort of thing.
Also the LAkeside amusment park of Silent Hill 3 would be perfect for that I think.

I was thinking more of a thick forest with different bungalows. An abondened family park sort of thing.
I was also thinking about a forest lying on a small mountain. So with different hights and levels.....
About that carnival, The lakeside amusment park in Silent Hill 3 would be perfect I think.

I meant more like a thick forest with a few abandend bungalows. Like a family park sort of thing. With a lot of fog it could be scaryer. Also, now that I think of it. The fog or The mist would be great as franchise for this...

a mall would be cool, either Stranger Things or Fear Street come to mind for that, or even Last of Us
City streets are also still missing - even though they had the perfect aesthetic opportunity with Trickster especially considering the lobby aesthetics. Also RE3R Raccoon City Streets.
Some beach/vacation resort setting would be great - Jaws, I Still Know What You Did Last Summer..
A theme park is okay but an abandoned building with very surreal/unnatural things happening is not? I mean, sure it’s subjective and it’s okay to not like it but this kinda feels like gate keeping?

These look really cool.
That would be like Evil Dead Map for Ash or the Crystyl Lake for Jason...

A mall would be great indeed too. Stranger things season 3 was perfect for that.
City streets could also be 28 days later or something

gatekeeping? what.
No I mean the abandoned building, even if the furniture in on the ceiling, its not scary or unsettling.

Also for the lake or woods would be cool to re-introduce something for Stranger things. Like Hoppers trailer area or his cabin in the woods. A map around that would be awesome. Or stone mountain park.

When Vittorio and The Knight were released, I really thought we were having two maps
1) The Borgo
2) A indoor map, like the castle we enter when we open the gate, this would have been so cool
2 -
Or an abondoned Castle? Or An empty Fort Boyard :-)

Since we didn't get the Castlemap with Castlevania, what do you think of these other map ideas?
Also a dollhouse would be cool.
Resident evil for example
Or a doll factory for Chucky
