Agreed. Sick of killers tunneling me simply because my character is a high prestige and that for some reason means I'm asking to be targeted? Literally had a game where I was tunneled and the killers response was "p67 mikaela doesn't deserve to play the game"

Prestige could of easily been hidden from the lobby months ago. It seems like the devs are refusing to hide them at this point

Perhaps they're still collecting the data to see if they think it's worth it, so maybe we'll hear feedback from them soon.
I don't know how much more data they need to collect, to be honest. It's such a common occurrence I can't see how it wouldn't be affecting the matchmaking at least a little bit.

This must be a rare occurrence as high P usually means killers dodging. Truth be told I do the same if there are 3-4 high P players (closer to 100).

It's been on and off for me. Right now it's on so I'm guessing they're still collecting data. I personally prefer them turned on because how else do I get to show my dedication to a character? (My highest prestige is only 25 so maybe that's why I've seen no ill-effects from it)

It was off for weeks (months?) for me and it seems like I've seen more dodging since it was turned back on.
And not just when I use a P100 surv; also (perhaps moreso) having other survs dodge when I use a surv where my prestige is low.
Prestige, especially for survs, isn't necessarily an indicator of anything. That P100 might only play (or have played) that character, only plays casually. That P3 surv might be a player who has multiple P100s, 9K hours, and is a god.
You can't make any assumptions based on prestige, but people sure do, and it's annoying.
They should just turn it off. I want to say they should give players special cosmetics for reaching P100 (which they absolutely should do regardless of what they do about prestige icons), but people would probably dodge when they see those as well.

I often play solo queue so alot of times im the highest p in the lobby but that doesn't mean my team can apply gen pressure while the killer tries to remove me. I can't say how much dodging I experience though since I hardly pay any attention to that and I feel like I'm placed as backfill alot

They should turn off it completely. This will stop survivors and killers from guessing if you're new or a pro.

They keep posting cosmetics that we already seen a week ago on their Twitter. I'm 100% convinced they don't care about prestige now

How is this relevant? You can switch the cosmetic on a character at any time. If I have a daily/archive to escape with Ace Visconti, who I have at P100, I can't do that without playing him, which means I'm going to have 20 minute lobby times as killers constantly dodge and killers will DC on loading if I last second switch. Survivor inventories are also different, and some people might not have all perks on other characters. This feels like you're just trying to strawman into an us vs them.

Agreed I'm sick of killers tunneling the high prestige survivors often times doing it while throwing the game just to grief and harass and mori the p100 person.

It relevant because its another reason thrown out why killers dodge. You can change cosmetics? You can change survivors too but why should you? Play who you want wearing what you want.
Killers that dodge survivors will dodge for any made up reason. Hide prestige and they will use somethings else. We had a years where rank was hidden and many survivors were still complaining about lobby dodging.

They're not equivalent. Yes, people can find any reason to dodge. But there is no actual gameplay reason that you would be forced to play a certain cosmetic. Ergo, you can complain about killers dodging skins, but you can always wear a different one, no harm done. If you have legacy Dwight skin and get dodged, just change the skin and it won't happen. But there are archives and challenges that REQUIRE you to play a specific character, and there is no way around that. So if you happen to have a character at P100, there is no way to get around the fact that you will be waiting in lobby for 20 minutes while killers dodge you.
And just because killers will use something for lobby dodging, doesn't mean nothing should be done. Like the example I just gave you, if prestige is hidden, there is now no element that survivors are forced to have that will lead to dodges. In fact, you can get rid of lobby dodging altogether by completely hiding the opponent and just showing the tally marks and puffs of black smoke for each "survivor", then there is nothing to dodge off of at all.

Your example pertains to a limited situation. 9/10 games won't matter which survivor you play.
Besides, if I had a Legacy skin, shouldn't I be able to wear it? Why should killers have the ability to dodge me? Like prestige, Legacy shows a lot of effort went into leveling that character when bloodwebs were large and bloodpoints few.
BHVR should only show default skins in lobby. Better yet it should show just player names. No, no killers might remember my name and dodge, better yet the name of my character. No, what if they see four Dwights then think its a SWF. There shouldn't even be a lobby actually. Just drop me in a match. That will stop those damn lobby dodg... Damn its a Nurse. Why is there DC penalty? We have ######### bots now! Why do I have to wait 5 minutes if I'm not having fun? Gah! They really need to get rid of that outdated system!

Yes please! My favorite characters are all p100 and I'd like the option to hide it!
The same way we have anon mode, we need to be able to hide our prestige.

none of what you just typed has any bearing on the situation at hand. Prestige should be hidden from the killer in pregame lobby. I've yet to see a single good argument why it shouldn't.

hiding it or not having p100 or p1 shouldn't matter just means you know who you want to lvl up....
I spread my lvls all are 11 right now and others are 38 to 30.

Love when killers dodge the lobby cuz they see 1 P100 and then they dodge like 5-6x and then the next killer we get is an Ultimate Weapon Blight playing like it’s an tournament.. just so sick and tired of this bs prestige, why didn’t BHVR immediately hid it at the start?!

I played my p100 Jill for a while today to test this and this sums up my experience. I also got hit on hook and and over by a very unhappy individual more than a few times.
I don't play toxic at all, I just do generators, heal, unhook and take chase whenever. I do not do any unfriendly things. I just get targeted for a number. :(

This I'd say was 50% of my games when playing a p100 character. The other 50% was some poor guy getting backfilled into my lobby because of so many other killers dodging, who then is outmatched and usually ends up quitting.
