SoloQ is Trash, Fix It

Nothing new, SoloQ has been trash for Survs since SWF was introduced and BHVR haven't put a single ounce of effort into trying to balance anything, aside from the painfully stupid mechanic of showing what Survs are doing during the match. I've been with the game since it's early access when it was entirely a different game. Since the addition of Bots, I'm finding 80% of my SoloQ games end up with me and team of 3 bots against whatever Killer is deciding to tunnel at this current moment. I'd DC too if the DC penalties weren't some of the most ridiculously outlandish penalties in all of PC gaming lol

Regardless, at this point there is no logical reason to not add voice comms for all Survs. There is absolutely zero reason to not have it in the game as an added option to bring SoloQ to SWF level so that the disparity between the two can begin to end. If people don't want it, add an option to mute everyone, like every other game in existence, simple as #########; there is no justification to not have it as an option to aid players. Can anyone name an Asymmetrical PVP game that doesn't let players talk to each other? No? Ok. There's a reason for that.

The only reason I feel voice comms would be a bad idea... is at some point I'll slip and start ranting my ass off at my dumb as bricks teammates, and I'll get reported for toxicity

I just don't like people saying," it's a team based game, you died because your team, go next".

Soloq is almost the opposite of teamwork. It's just luck.

I've said it once and I'll say it again - voice comms will not fix DBD. Not in the slightest.

It might help sometimes, in lobbies on NA where many people speak English, and in lobbies with four people willing to talk to win. But in games where not everyone wants to talk, or in regions with a larger variety of spoken langauge, or where people have different mindsets, comms will do nothing, and if the game is rebalanced around comms those games will be harder and feel even worse than they already do.

Beyond that, I'd like to see how many of your actual games contain three bots. I can see one DC every once in a while, maybe two. But three, regularly? I doubt it.

It's usually down to being bad at looping. If you can't loop well enough then you'll most likely get destroyed in SoloQ. I mostly play SoloQ now and that's what I've noticed. Matches aren't always the best but you live and learn, or in this case you die and you learn. Teammates don't always do gens or come for a unhook or are scared and hiding but they're trying their best. That's all you can honestly ask for. If you take this game serious then you'll always be mad when in soloQ.

@UndeddJester So the exact same thing that happens in every other game?

I'd really like to know if there are any more plans to improve solo que in the pipeline, because at the moment, with all the uncounterable tunneling and crappy matchmaking, it seems like solo que players are just cannon fodder and there's no light at the end of the tunnel (pun intended).

I've only played SoloQ besides the one time my friends played with me. Been only playing for... less than a month.

I've only had a couple of times where there was a bot. If a survivor was acting funny, I go to endgame to see if it was "Bot". Most of time, its just a hidden name I assume? Cause people who I thought was a bot turned out to be a player lol.

I don't really know what the original poster is complaining about. Maybe a strike of frustrating games?

I just do the best I can, I suck at evading. Usually I am easy prey. But, for the most part, the community has been great. Sure, I can get only targeted. But, a killer gots to kill.

For every bad game, I've had more than a few good games.

Sorry, but every other asymmetrical game in existence disagrees with you on voice comms. You can stamp your wittle feet over the proposed addition to voice comms, but voice comms would absolutely help SoloQ.It would give players the choice of further cooperation that is impossible for SoloQ currently, but the game unironically relies on since SWF is what everything is balanced around.

Even just two people in SoloQ on a team talking, would benefit the team. Hell, even just one person talking and 3 being non responsive but still listening and taking in that info would be leagues better than anything that is possible right now.

Also the majority of my games I'm getting three bots and just about every single game there is DC. There is something seriously wrong with the game if near every single match of SoloQ there is at least one DC.

No it's not, its down to every single aspect. This isn't the game BHVR sold to the public back in 2016 that was touted as a 1v1v1v1v1, that's long gone, yet still half the community has to deal with all the old outdated gameplay mechanics that were put into place to facilitate a non team game.

The moment that SWF was introduced, BHVR should have implemented either SWF nerfs or SoloQ communication to buff it up close to SWF. They did neither of that and the game suffers because of it and will always suffer because of it. Now I have no issue with SWF because anytime I play with my friends, the Killers usually DC from frustration; so it's just so stupid from a gameplay perspective to see SWF outcompete Killer so Killer destroys SoloQ as collateral and BHVR allows it. When SWF and SoloQ should really be close to the same and then Killers should be balanced around that.

It's really not that difficult and there's been many other asymmetrical games that have done it right, but ultimately fail because DBD has honestly stifled the genre for the worse.
