Disabling mobility for Blight, Nurse, Xeno at the start of the match

How many times did I have a Blight come to me within 5 seconds of the match starting, and seeing the same happen to streamers. Does no-one find that ridiculous? Xenomorph can also use their tunnels right at the start of the match, and reach survivors within 5 seconds. So many times I've had Xeno come out of a station at the start of the match right as I was taking out the turret (before it starts beeping), so I inevitably get hit, because I had no time to set the turret, and Xeno already has their tail attack available.

Meanwhile, Dredge and Onryo cannot use their high-mobility right at the start of the match, because they are on cooldown. And they are much weaker killers than Blight, Nurse or Xeno. It just feels wrong. Demogorgon also can't immediately use portals for mobility, there is a set-up that needs to take place.

I think that no killer should be able to reach survivors "in an instant" at the start of the match, that's too much free pressure that killers in general do not and should not have, especially since perks like Lethal Pursuer and Corrupt Intervention exist.

(I didn't mention Hillbilly because the poor guy is so weak right now, even though he does fall into this same category)

Onyro's and Dredge's powers not only build up a second effect, but are on demand map wide teleports.

Nurse's blinks have a max range and Blight can't go through walls.

Xeno has to physically move to a control panel as he can't just decide to teleport from his current location.

What about the insane pressure at the start of the match? Why does Demogorgon doesn't have it then? Or Trapper.

Demogorgon has to place two portals before he can even teleport anywhere.

Also are we complaining that Trapper can place traps at the start of the match?

LOL, trapper placing traps while 4 gens are rapidly fading away is already limiting enough, especially since you have to go out and pick up the traps before you can place them (unless you start with them all, which should be base kit anyway...imagine having to pickup your reverse traps as pig before you could use them).

You misread/misinterpreted what I wrote xD

I meant if Demo and Trapper can't just reach survivors easily at the start, then why are OP killers like Blight and Nurse able to? :p

Many times Blight/Nurse/Xeno have nearly instantly arrived after the match loaded, and that's with Distortion loaded and without even Lethal Pursuer.

The reason onyro, Dredge, and freddy have cooldowns at the start of the match is due to their ability to teleport across the map from anywhere.

Xeno has to be in specfic locations to move quickly. Blight can't ignore walls. Nurse has limited range. Demo has to set up.

Frankly I don't believe killers should have cooldowns at the start of the match, but it's not like bhvr is doing it randomly.

You can call it free pressure if they used lethal. That's a entire perk slot used so they could apply that pressure. Easy pressure, sure. But not free.

That might be ok for Blight.

Nurse’s mobility is mostly a myth and is often still worse than a walking 4.6 killer. It’s only strong on two-story maps/buildings or if you’re using the purple double-blink addon.

As for Xeno I don’t think that’s necessary given that he has to go to the control stations to use his mobility. Also, if survivors are holding a turret at the start of the match looking for a place to put it down, they’re immune to tunnel footstep detection as long as they’re holding it, so Xeno won’t find them unless they have Lethal Pursuer.

    Hmm...

I don't hate that as an idea for Blight, actually. Just putting his tokens on cooldown at the start of the match would only ensure he has to go walk at totally normal speed to start his first chase, it won't super harm his strength overall but it will give survivors back the breathing room almost every other killer offers them.

For Nurse, though, despite her having crazy mobility, she moves slower than survivors by default. I don't know that taking away her mobility at the start of the match is as fair, because it's basically just saying she arbitrarily doesn't get to start the match for however many seconds. It might feel too bad on her to be a fair nerf.

For Xeno, I think the fact that it has to walk to a station, then spend a few seconds walking through the tunnels, is enough of a delay. That's roughly equivalent to some other killers having Lethal and just walking to their first target.
